O YOU ever wonder what

is driving the growing

desire across the world for

holistic health practices

and alternative ways for

achieving optimum health? Finding our-

selves part of a global community might

be driving our desire to find true wellness.

After all, aren’t we reminded daily by

events across the globe that we are all in

this together? We might as well take care

of ourselves and our planet in the best

ways possible. For true wellness to occur,

besides seeking psychological balance

and physical health, we must take into

account our core spiritual needs. Perhaps

a tall order in today’s fragmented, dis-

tracted world. But still, we seek answers,

and dig deeper on this healing journey,

don’t we?

CReaTiNG CoMMUNiTY FoR heaLiNG

As a result, we have been coming

together to learn and heal within com-

munities of fellow health seekers, healers,

and spiritual teachers. Ideally, this means

together we find creative ways to take

responsibility for our own healing and also

to care for each other along the way. As

many of us become more and more con-

scious and awakened to our mind, body,

spirit connection, we naturally support a

new model for healing.

A holistic wellness model is, by defi-

nition collaborative. It brings together the

expertise of those who can support the

whole person. This model has supported

the creation of dynamic healing commu-

nities that are, in many towns and cities,

right next door. They might be called well-

ness centers, healing centers, or centers for

integrative care. Whatever the name on the

door, we no longer have to bounce from

one private practitioner to the next.

deTeRMiNe WhaT CoMMUNiTY FiTS YoUR NeedS

How do we sort through which heal-

ing community is right for our needs?

We review what services are available and

how well those services match up with our

needs at the moment, subject to change

as we shift our focus. To feel at home and

thereby support the best healing experi-

ence, there are some basics to look for in

any healing center. We should find a warm,

welcoming atmosphere, classes to help us

become our own health champion and

spiritual warrior, and plenty of alternative

practitioners from which to choose.

Usually, this collaborating group will

include chiropractors, massage therapists,

and energy workers such as Reiki and/or

healing touch or sound healing practitio-

ners. From that base, we can expect some

combination of acupuncture, homeopathy,

yoga or t’ai chi, reflexology, and a mind-

body modality like hypnosis. To round out

the need for spiritual and emotions work,

we should find interesting and varied

spiritual, therapeutic, and health coaching

practices.

LooK FoR vaLUe PRiCiNG

What about affordability in this time

of economic rebuilding? Practitioners usu-

ally provide special introductory rates for

clients to sample their work and the group

will often have discount packages for cli-

ents to try a sample from a variety of prac-

titioners. If we are wise, we realize that no

one person has all the answers we seek, no

matter what their training or expertise. The

value of receiving work from a practitioner

within a group is that they know their fel-

low healers’ work well. Within the healing

community, they work on each other and

attend each other’s classes and workshops.

Who better to give an educated opinion

on what will enhance our best journey to

wellness? In a collaborative, holistic well-

ness model, everyone wins.

The Pleiadian Academy of Enlightenment offers online spiritual awakening

I

T IS with great joy that I have

been able to channel through a

brand new body of sacred work

from the Pleiadians, which is

now being presented as an online

course through our new Pleiadian Acad-

emy of Enlightenment.

LaNGUaGe oF LiGhT

The first Course in this unique new

series of teachings, comprises a program,

or series, of Light Initiations called Lan-

guage of Light.

I feel so privileged to be partner-

ing with the Pleiadians in this wonderful

adventure of discovery of Self. I refer to it

as an adventure because I believe that the

single most important journey that we are

to make in this lifetime is the re-discovery

of our Selves; this journey of the re-align-

ment back to our natural spiritual natures.

I personally, look forward to working

with all who feel called to take their next

step forward, and to say yes to participat-

ing in this transformative course.

For more information on the Lan-

guage of Light Initiations Course, please

visit my website at www.christinedayon-

line.com and click on the Pleiadian Acad-

emy of Enlightenment link in the left hand

column.

In the meantime, I invite you to read

the following personal message from the

Pleiadians that explains more about the

purpose of this Academy and the courses

they intend to teach.

MeSSaGe FRoM The PLeiadiaNS

Dear Ones, we greet you with love

and appreciation for all that you are in

this moment. This “Language of Light”

work has been brought forth at this time

to enable those of you who feel called

to do so to take giant steps toward your

own enlightenment process. We have

crafted energies that will support you in

being able to move back into a place of re-

alignment to the Self, and remembrance

of your place within the Universal Con-

sciousness.

The time has come for many of you

to reconnect to this aspect of your Self, so

that you can navigate your place within

the Collective. As you make your way back

towards Self, you undergo a transforma-

tion that enables you to hold an “ener-

getic platform”—an energetic mirror, as

it were—for others to meet that aspect of

themselves. In this manner, you enable

many other humans to follow in your foot-

steps. This is part of your mission here, it is

what you came here to do, and now is the

time for this unfoldment.

TooLS FoR aWaKeNiNG To SeLF

We have many tools that will enable

you to awaken to your Self. This course is

specifically designed to facilitate and accel-

erate this process. Our mission is simply to

assist you when you call upon us, to adjust

your energies, to aid you throughout your

integration processes, and to support you

in aligning back to your original design.

Our role is to provide you with the

tools, and to open up specific energetic

dimensional spaces that afford you the

opportunity to move forward and awaken

on different levels. We hold a loving space

in which to birth yourself.

Know that the energetic grids we

have set in this program contain an in-

built support system that enables the spiri-

tual realms—the Angels, Light Beings,

Masters, and other light energies to come

forth when called upon. The dimensional

energies we set enable the spiritual realms

to work with you in a unique way, support-

ing you in the most appropriate and benefi-

cial manner, according to your individual

needs as they arise.

We rejoice in your birthing and

remembrance of yourself as spiritual

beings, and we hold each one of you in

your humanness as you take this next step;

a journey that is designed not only to move

you back into conscious remembrance, but

also to provide you with a direct experience

of your spiritual essence. We honor you in

your humanness and hold you with love as

you embark on this important journey back

towards Self. —Blessings, The Pleiadians

S A mother of three young

daughters, I know that ill-

nesses always come on or

get worse just as my practi-

tioner’s office closes for the

evening or on the weekend. My experience

and that of many of my clients was my

inspiration for opening a holistic walk-in

clinic that would be staffed both evenings

and weekends.

After opening our doors over a year

and a half ago, I believe that we have ful-

filled and continue to fulfill the need that

inspired me in the beginning. Not only do

we provide care, but the services we pro-

vide help to strengthen our clients and

boost their vitality.

Through homeopathic care, acu-

puncture, Reiki and massage, we have

helped hundreds of people find relief from

pain and recover quickly from illness. I

believe it is important that we offer a full

range of services as there are many doors

that lead to healing.

MaNY hoLiSTiC SeRviCeS UNdeR oNe RooF

The benefit of having so many ser-

vices under one roof is not just the range

of choices. As is true of most complemen-

tary and alternative medicine (CAM), we

all work together. The goal of CAM is to

work with our clients to build their own

body’s healing capabilities. Throughout

the healing process, different modalities

are needed at different times. Some of the

speediest recoveries have happened for

people who received not only a homeo-

pathic remedy but also an acupuncture,

Reiki, or massage session at that same

time. Having a team of practitioners

in one location that can work with you

throughout your healing journey can be

very powerful.

When you are seeking self care of

any kind, it is important that you select

a practitioner and a place where you feel

comfortable. This may mean that the

location is convenient, the atmosphere

is soothing or you receive a warm greet-

ing when you walk through the door.

Your relationship with your practitioner

should feel safe, caring, and warm as

well. In short, there is a lot to consider

when choosing care providers. If you

are able to see multiple providers in the

same location, with the soothing atmo-

sphere and warm greeting that you’ve

grown to expect, you are then able to

focus on you.

Sometimes people ask what the sig-

nificance of our name is, Spark Clinic. In

many religions and areas of thought, it is

believed that we are all energetic beings,

that what animates us is not our bodies or

our brains but something deeper than that.

In homeopathy it is called the vital force

and in some practices it is known as the chi

or prana. No matter what name you give it,

it represents our energetic selves. All of the

modalities that are offered at Spark Clinic

work with that energetic being in some way.

Through touch or a small needle inserted at

just the right point or a remedy, we work

with people to balance their chi and bring

back the vitality that is what we know as

health. Thus, we provide the healing spark.

Spark Clinic is the only holistic walk-

in clinic in the United States. We offer

walk-in hours as well as care by appoint-

ment. Our services include acupuncture,

homeopathy, massage, Reiki, and shiatsu.

Throughout the summer, we offer yoga

classes on Saturday morning for adults and

families. Located in South Minneapolis,

just east of the intersection of 48th Street

and Chicago Avenue, we are easily accessed

from 35W.

Learn to stay young through ancient self-massage techniques called Do-In

NeW ReLeaSeS: FoUNTaiN oF YoUTh exeRCiSeS

O-IN (DOUGH-EEN)

is a series of healing,

diagnostic, and energiz-

ing self-massage tech-

niques that originated

thousands of years ago

in the Far East.

According to Call, this ancient

practice is known to increase energy,

clarity, and well-being in the body,

mind, and spirit. The discoveries were

initially considered to be coveted wis-

dom and were verbally passed on for

generations.

Call believes that by embracing

this practice, we take our health and

awareness into our own hands.

Do-In exercises are comprised of

movements, including tapping, pound-

ing, pinching, pulling, and rubbing. They

are performed to energize and balance our

life force, also known as chi or ki.

Our chi flows through pathways

in our body known as meridians. Each

meridian relates to an organ or system,

and in good health, our chi circulates

freely throughout its path. If our chi

becomes blocked or stagnated, we may

experience sensation, or pain, along the

pathway. Blockages can occur for a num-

ber of reasons. These common occur-

rences are the minor aches and pains that

we may experience seemingly without

explanation.

heiGhTeNed BodY aWaReNeSS

When you practice Do-In on a daily

basis, your body awareness is heightened

and you begin to notice subtle changes.

In the beginning, you may experience

sensation when you press areas, or points,

along your body. This light pain will dissi-

pate upon release of the pressure, and over

time will usually lessen. According to Call,

when sensation is present in your body it

can be an indication of an existing internal

condition. It is helpful to experience this

sensation, which may indicate a block-

age, as an invitation to bring more focused

healing touch. Below are some examples of

Do-In practices on different areas of the

body.

These scalp exercises are known to

stimulate your brain, affecting both physi-

cal and mental activity. They also stimu-

late your bladder and gall bladder. Often

this results in a feeling of being more alert

and refreshed. Enjoy these exercises first

thing in the morning or any time you feel

drowsy.

• Make a fist and pound lightly all over

your scalp while keeping your wrist loose.

• With your fingertips, rub your scalp vig-

orously.

• Gather fistfuls of hair and pull on them

gently. For those with very short hair,

grasp even a few hairs, and pull gently

with intention.

FaCe

These facial exercises are effective for

releasing tension. You may instinctively do

some of these exercises when you have a

headache; doing them regularly and proac-

tively can help prevent headaches and keep

you relaxed.

• With your fingertips tap gently all over

your forehead. Close your eyes and take

your time, moving gradually, as you

feel the tension releasing. Let your body

guide you.

Do-In chest exercises help to release

strengthen the respiratory function, and

accelerate blood flow. A sense of warmth

ENTIENT BEING II…

Path to the Light” is the

title of our July cover

by artist Julia Watkins.

Watkins, a descendent

of Native Americans inhabiting Ocrakoke

Island, NC, was mentored from the age of

11 by artist Fletcher. At 16 she enrolled in

the NC State School of Design where she

studied art and architecture with seven more

years at the NYC Art Student’s League.

She’s a former international model for Cha-

nel and Yves St. Laurente. She is considered

the found of the Energism art movement.

aBoUT “PaTh To The LiGhT”

“My inspiration for this painting was

an aspen grove in Colorado. The aspen leaves

turn a brilliant gold in the fall. They are so

bright that when they lay on the ground,

one can actually walk the forest at night.

“One afternoon when the sunlight

backlighted these aspens I began to imag-

ine that I might meet god in a setting like

this … the light and energy of a higher

power coming to me through the trees and

a golden path to the source.

“I decided to paint the vision. The

first attempt was good, but seemed like a

scene I was watching instead of the deep

experience it should be. I repainted it

focusing on connecting viewer and spirit.

“The result was that many people

who have seen it say they feel like a hid-

den force is drawing them down the path

toward the light. It is the favorite of the

religious and spiritual,” said Watkins.

WhaT’S WiTh aLL The SWiRLS?

Watkins explains that the swirls rep-

resent the flow of energy between all things

and demonstrate how man and animal are

interconnected with their world.

Energism was inspired by the con-

cept of the Chinese martial art T’ai Chi

whose masters believe the key to balance is

to move and live with the natural rhythms

of earth, water, and sky. Moving with the

natural flow of things is “the way” or Tao.
