is the customer always right?

My opinion: Is the customer always right? The word “always” is included and I’m going to assume that always means 100%. Now, the question will be converted to: Is the customer 100% right? My answer will be no. The customer is not always right. When a customer buys a product from a company, he/she can complain and demand for something that will satisfy him/her and there’s nothing wrong with it. There’s also a customer that tends to be very abusive and demanding too much for his/her money that he/she paid for and that’s the same as taking advantage. He/she is crossing the border now and being unethical knowing that the company might give what he/she wants. If I am on the side of the company and I will be the one who will make the product, I’m going to put myself on the customer’s shoe and imagine; how will I satisfy myself? How will I satisfy the customer? To do it, I will make the product very well and attain the quality that customer is needed. I’m going to put a price that is reasonable enough for my product. The company always did that and that’s how they put a price. If I am on the customer’s shoe and I bought that product for that price, will I be satisfied or delighted? The company always consider that factor for pricing and that’s the reason why high quality products, most of the time, cost more than low quality products because a quality also costs money. The product may have undergone through different process and to attain such kind of quality the company might spend more money. I’m not stating that you can only get high quality products from high priced products. There’s a phrase called “bang for the buck” which means that you get a good quality for a low price or reasonable price. You get the same amount of quality that is the same for high quality products of high price. Going back to the question, is the customer always right? My answer will still be the same because the company puts enough & reasonable price for the product. The customer is given a wide variety of alternative to choose from. He/she could decide which one he/she will be buying. If we consider customer as always right, our company might end up lugi or worst bankrupt. Let say that a customer bought a product from your company and you know that the company conforms to the quality standard and then the customer’s approach to your product is the worst that we could ever imagine. He complains a lot and he/she is the worst customer ever. Will the company be able to satisfy

Will the company be able to satisfy his/her needs? I guess so but it will not be efficient. The company might spend more just to satisfy him/her. I believe there’s always been a kind of this customer. Let’s be honest and fair, as a customer too, if I’m going to complain about a product I always check first if the price that I have paid doesn’t justify the quality.
