The exchange will be held in the middle of November 2017 in Syke near Bremen, Germany. Countries: 6 countries Age of participants: 18-30 (no age limit for group leaders) Country group size: 6 participants + 1 group leader Place: Syke, a little village in the suburbs near Bremen, Germany Venue: A group house (something like hostel) Days of activity: 8 activity days (excluded traveling days) Time: 13-22 of November 2017

Short description about the youth exchange: Europe is facing many challenges in the moment: terrorism, division based on nationalism, Brexit, isolation of minority background citizens, spread of xenophobia, racial and religious hatred and discrimination. The union is growing more divided, there is fear of dissolving being spread around by nationalistic political leaders. Part of the youth in Europe is standing on the sidelines of all of this and watching. As the nationalism is taking much more space around the world, and especially in Europe, these issues need to be addressed by the NGOs and youth. The lack of political leadership that will unite Europe is evident. We have thought of bottoms-up approach in creating world leaders. Starting from today, creating more youth leaders and youth activists who will not only start changing our societies now, but also continue in 20 years when they become experienced enough and will become Europe´s proud future leaders uninfluenced by hatred and division. Having this in mind we have designed a youth exchange where the participants will have the opportunity to work on their leadership and team work skills in learning by doing outdoor exercises and simulations and reflecting upon them before noon. In the afternoon they are going to have different methods where their will put their leadership and team building skills in social context of youth activism working in direction of social change tackling the burning issues in Europe at the moment such as: Brexit, refugees, minority background youngsters that are isolated in societies, to create concrete project and activities. This should create young activists that will take an active role in their local communities, providing leadership and change.

This program is meant to challenge the participants to discover their leadership qualities, so we kindly ask you to prepare for rainy and cold weather. Half of the activities will be done outside, even if it is going to be raining or if it is going to be cold, so please remember to bring old, warm and rainproof clothes, water resistant outdoor shoes and raincoats. Travel costs and reimbursement Travel costs limit: Be aware that Erasmus + is a co-financing program, so if you exceed the limit on your travel costs, each participant has to cover the difference themselves. Croatia, Italy, Greece, Lithuania and Spain = 275€, Germany = 180€ The amount of money allowed doesn't mean that you should spend it all, but this is the maximum that can be reimbursed. All participants should try to find the cheapest travel route. Please send us your travel itineraries before you buy the tickets so we can also check and give suggestions. The tickets should be bought by the 07

th of October.

Reimbursement of travel costs: The travel costs reimbursements are going to be made after the project. We are going to transfer directly to the partner organization. Apart from flying or trains, participants can arrive traveling with a van, but only as a group. If you are interested to travel like that, please contact us since the rules are quite complicated. All costs for accommodation, food and program will be covered from the organizers. All youngsters need to have valid insurance for Germany. Sincerely, NaturKultur e.V. , Germany Contacts: For more information about the project please contact: Darko - [email protected]
