Below is a brief outline of what your child will be learning during this half term

Narrative and Poetry

We will be creating stories and poem based on

the Alexis Deacon book ‘Beegu’

RE

We will be learning about the Hindu religion

Numeracy

• Counting in 2s, 5s and 10’s

• Telling the time to the hour and half

past the hour

• Comparing and measuring height and

length

• Find ½ and ¼ of shapes and amounts

• Solve 1 step problem which involve

multiplication and division

ICT

We will be using ‘code’ to programme

robots on the iPads and in practical

situations.

Science

In Science we will be learning all about

materials and exploring their properties through

a range of investigations

PE

• Games and Gymnastics

Things to remember!!!

• PE Thursday and Friday– please ensure an

indoor and outdoor PE kit comes to school

for the full week! Can earrings please be

removed

PE Kit – White t shirt, dark shorts for indoor.

A warmer kit can be brought for outdoor and

must include a change of footwear

• Please make sure your chid brings their

reading book and reading record to school

each day. The reading record can also be

filled in at home.

Art

Our Art topic is sculpture. We will be making

buildings using a range of materials
