INFO THE OFFICIAL INLAND GROUP NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2016 INLAND-GROUP.COM What a summer it has been for Inland! We kicked it off in May when our 110,000 sq. ft. dealership was opened in Phoenix, Arizona. The spectacular new facility led the way as the first installment in an 85-acre business park designed for the transportation industry. The grand opening was a hit with over 1,000 customers and vendors in attendance. I am glad to say that everyone has settled in and things are rolling smoothly. Our new 85,000 sq. ft. dealership in Prince George will quickly follow. Construction is expected to be completed this fall with a projected opening date in January 2017. The facility’s layout will be similar to the Phoenix dealership. It will also strongly exhibit our new branding and will be one of the first businesses you see as you approach Prince George from the south on Highway 97. It will proudly represent Inland as our northern BC flagship for many years to come. Early in August, after an exhaustive 18 month review, we announced our decision to partner with CDK – a world class business solutions provider. This new partnership will redefine our approach to process, data management and customer service. There is no doubt that we will all be challenged as we prepare for implementation. However, with our talented team and the end goal of creating a better customer experience in mind, I have no doubt that we will ultimately become a stronger, more connected company with all the tools we need to offer a world class experience to our customers. With so much change on the horizon, streamlined communication has become a top priority. With that in mind, I had the chance to visit Facebook’s headquarters in Silicon Valley in June. Subsequent to that initial meeting, Inland was accepted as an early adopter for the Facebook at Work platform. We saw the immediate value as a communication tool so we fast tracked the launch and put it in everyone’s hands as soon as possible. We are seeing some great results thus far and, once people become more familiar with the platform, it will only get better. In early September, I will take some time to answer questions I’ve received relating to our decision to use Facebook at Work and best practices for using the tool within the Facebook application. In closing, and as we wrap up the fiscal year, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your dedication and efforts. I am truly proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past year and can’t wait to see what we can get done next year. What a summer it has been for Inland!

We kicked it off in May when our 110,000 sq. ft. dealership was opened in Phoenix,

Arizona.

It will proudly represent

Inland as our northern BC flagship for many years to come.

Subsequent to that initial meeting, Inland was accepted as an

early adopter for the Facebook at Work platform.

Sincerely,

Andrew Johnston

We recently had an opportunity to provide a presentation for the LBX Board of Directors. They requested this presentation and held their annual meeting in Vancouver, BC on July 7. Bill Currie, Andrew Johnston, Corey Timms, Aeron McKie and myself had the pleasure of joining the 18

board members for dinner on July 6, learning more about each other and the challenges of our business. During the presentation, we highlighted the history of Inland, our commitment to our employees and customers, the financial position of our company, our reinvestment in the business, and a

productive discussion regarding our day-to-day interactions with LBX. The picture of our group is after they toured our Langley facility (pictured above). We considered this an honor for the invitation. Our employees should be proud that the directors saw value in learning more about Inland.

A visit from LBX & Sumitomo

Teams from Inland, LBX and Sumitomo worked with Lialan Industries to test Link-Belt’s 3240 platform. Testing took place

at Johnson Creek - about 130 km southwest of Fort St. John.

Important Reminder from HR!If you have received a PLATINUM (silver–colored) Visa gift card for an Inland anniversary, please be aware that they have a one-year expiry date from the month they were issued. We cannot get the funds back or give you a new card if you miss using the card before the expiry date! (Note: This does not apply to the reloadable gold cards where the funds will rollover to a new card once the current cards expire.)

On June 4, Prince George held their annual Customer Appreciation Day. The sun was shining on us as our cooks, Dave Knowles and Len Godin, served up hot dogs, hamburgers and smokies. There was a Skid Steer bouncer for the kids and an Inland coloring book for them to take home.

We had a dunk tank - thanks to Rick Bruneski, Dealer Manager, Carl Overnay, Fixed Operations Manager and Jeff Morrison, Parts Manager for taking the plunge into the cold water. Proceeds were by donation that went to our local SPCA.

Adults and children had a chance to look inside some trucks & equipment on display. A Linkbelt 3240 Processor with a Waratah head, CX36B Mini Excavator, whose bucket held the cold drinks, 1085B Tigercat Forwarder, 635E Tigercat Skidder, Kenworth T800 and T880 trucks.

Our customers entered their names in our draws for a 55” TV (Bob Rickett), Pressure Washer (Kyle Megli), Lightbar (Bob Schwing). We also had 5 $100.00 service gift certificates and 5 $100.00 parts gifts certificates. We had 2 kids draws, congratulations to Navaeh Fryer and Gavin Wiebe.

A big thank you goes out to all those who helped make this day a success.
