Welcome to the Summer University in Zadar !

We are pleased to welcome biomedicinal peers and students

to spend their summer holiday in an innovative, educational

and positive way in multicultural environment !!!

Programme

Educational part of Summer University is organised into lectures andworkshops that are held by students and professors from various

EuropeanCountries:Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia and of course

Croatia.

Topics that will be covered:

Molecular biology methods in a clinical laboratory

Pharmacogenetics and personalized medicine

Population and epidemiology studies

Epigenetics

Molecular diagnostics in pharmaceutical industry

The official language of Summer University is English. Participating on the

lecturs of the Summer University is marked with 1 ECTS point.

Organisers

Organising summer university is very hard work and that is why as you can see on the picture, organising committee seize every opportunuity to rest !!!

Summer University is orgenised by CEEPUS project and Students’ Council of Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry together with partners from Medical School, School of Dental Medicine and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Payment information

• Fee: 1250,00 kn (175 € )

• Payment will be made upon the arrival, during registrations (unfortunately credit cards are NOT accepted, cash only)

• Fee includes: 7 day full accommodation in student’s dormitory; breakfast, lunch and dinner; materials for lectures and workshops; evenings‘ parties

Practical informationFood and Accommodation

Participants sleep in a very nice students’ dormitory with double or triple bedrooms (every room has its own bathroom). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a nearby restaurant.

General information(part I)

• Imagine summer in the Adriatic city Zadar where the streets are filled with sidewalk cafes and perfectly blue sky

• It is situated in Northern Dalmatia (Eastern Adriatic Coast)

• Zadar is the 5th largest city in Croatia with population of

85 000 (2006.)

• A long history (it reaches from Antic time) has made it one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia with many monuments (Saint Donat‘s church, Kalelarga, City walls, Zadar‘s university building…) but also it has modern arhitecture such as extraordinary Sea' organsor Sun greeting
