building an integrated project file right now.

Estimates and Item Management

Making estimates is part and parcel of the 4PS

Construct application. In making estimates, you

have maximum freedom with regard to setup and

layout. Your sector sees a lot of RAW tenders. They

can be calculated easily with the specific Estimate

module for RAW. Do you want a link with a third

party estimation package such as IBIS Infra? No

problem.

Project Engineering and Planning

For the project engineer, it is very important to

update and maintain the budget as transparently

as possible. Adjustments such as outsourcing and

contract extensions are all supported extensively.

For outsourcing work to sub-contractors, there is

an all-encompassing WKA (Dutch Supply Chain

Responsibility Act) registration with all documents

available. Do you want to code the budget with

a view to integral planning in 4PS Construct? 4PS

offers various graphical planning options to manage

the activities in the project carefully. Would you like

to record production in the planning? We offer this

option too.

Purchase

The purchase process is fully supported from within

this package. You can record purchase budgets

from within the budget as quote requests for

suppliers. Price comparisons allow you to compare

the terms and conditions of the various bidders

easily. Of course, it is possible to order automatically

(S@les in de Bouw or XML) and obviously, the

functionality for vendor assessment could not be

omitted. There is the availability to deeplink to

various suppliers. It is also possible to perform stock

administration. One way to do this is through bar

coding in the warehouse.

The site manager’s journal

When the site manager records data, the project is

always the starting point. The site manager can only

choose from his own projects, so he does not have

to filter out useless information.

In recording the hours, any overtime, travel time

and mileage allowance are calculated automatically

in accordance with the CAO rules. Machine hours

can be recorded simultaneously with the hours of

employees, including the hours of the machinist or

driver. Furthermore, the site manager screen allows

you to record notes, receipts, complaints, progress

levels and bookings for materials.

Invoicing and tender administration

4PS Construct provides several invoicing methods.

For example, you can invoice on the basis of cost

plus, instalments and advances. In the groundwork,

road and hydraulic engineering sector, invoicing

will usually be based on the tender administration

according to the RAW system. Of course, the

revision rule is also supported. Everything is

transparent immediately, thanks to project control.

Project control

Project control ensures that you can track the status

of your projects at any time. You can browse back

to past statuses. This module lets you get a rough

idea (per project) as well as a detailed picture (cost

object). Among other things, you can carry out

controls by main project, sub project, cost type,

cost centre, contract amount, WIP position, interim

result, progress level and prognosis. Standard

management information cockpits and management

overviews are available.

Project construction

Project construction means the following: supplying

actual hours, sheets, settlement statements,

progress levels and prognoses about the project by

the site manager or project leader. This can be done

manually by using slips (which must then be entered

into 4PS Construct) or directly into 4PS Construct.

There is a wide range of options for timesheets.

Among other things, the module covers normal

hours, overtime hours, leave registration, entering

external workers’ hours, direct hours, indirect hours

and checks.4PS Construct provides the option to

make the profit position visible and to include it in

the financial reports, based on the forecast result

and progress level.

Financial Administration

Your financial team will like working with 4PS

Construct because of its in-depth and extensive

functionality specific to your sector. You can

configure the administration for single companies

as well as holdings and building consortiums, with

or without Intercompany Accounts. The need

for integration with different wages and salary

Document Management

An important and topical issue is document

management. This does not only cover the

documents produced by your employees, but also

the documents you receive from relations and

partners. 4PS Construct gives you access to and

insight into all the relevant documents in the entire

on the Internet and/or intranet. 4PS Construct

also allows you to put weekly control lists on the

SharePoint Portal in HTML form. This provides

people that have the required responsibility and

Another example is how for each new project

within a company, a project portal can be created,

making available all the relevant, classified

documents from that project. If someone edits

a document, the document is checked out and

you can see who did it, and whether it has been

returned. 4PS Construct can automatically place

release notes on the SharePoint Portal, which can

be completed either online or offline. After they

have been placed back on the portal, 4PS Construct

can automatically process them.

Plant Management

The Plant Management functionality is an integral

part of 4PS Construct. This module was developed

to manage and run your machinery, equipment and

tools. It incorporates a simple method for registering

plant/tools and charging these to projects,

carrying out inspection controls and updating the

depreciation of machinery.. Both the logistic aspects

(rental orders, location, planning, transport, issue

etc.) and the financial results (costs and revenues)

are thoroughly supported. Test equipment, material

guides (internet) and handheld terminals are

integrated into the module.

4PS Mobile

More and more customers are asking us for digital

worksheets. Among other things, they are used

for monitoring the availability and progress of

the service engineers. 4PS Mobile is a field service

application that allows you to send the worksheet

(service order) to the engineer electronically. The

engineer can complete the worksheet on his PDA

quickly and easily, stating the hours spent and the

materials used. The data entered are immediately

available in 4PS Construct. Consequently, you can

send invoices more quickly and the risk of errors is

smaller. The mobile application can be used both

online and offline.
