In the creative industry, everyone has got their own set of philosophy; some might believe that the creation of new solutions might also lead to new problems in the industry. However, without these problems, we are unable to improve the standard of living andourselves. To me, I believe that no matter what philosophy they possessed, they have one common element in them; they dream to design or they design to fulfill their dreams. For instance, the Wright Brothers had always dreamt to soar in the air like the birds. With this dream, they repeatedly carried out experiments on their designed aero. Despite many failures, they finally managed to come out with the first aeroplane in the world, though plane did not sustain in the air for long. The fulfillment in their dream over-ridesall the hardships in the design processes. To many designers nowadays, they shared the same spirits as the Wright Brothers. Theyhave always wanted to come out with new ideas that are “out-of-the-box” thinking. Due to many external factors (such as budget constraints, client’s requirements etc) they are forced to restrict their “wow” ideas. However, I strongly believed that with dreams , the design industry would continue to sparkle with excitements, waiting for young designers to explore and fulfill.
