Our 13-member board regularly meets on

the third Thursday of each month at

Luigi’s Italian Bistro on Manitowoc Road

at 5:30 PM with the option of eating to-

gether after the meeting.

The board has the responsibility of run-

ning the day-to-day business of the club

and, as you know, we recruit other mem-

bers to help plan and execute the activi-

ties. Since many hands make light work,

none of us is overburdened and we have a

lot of fun in the process. And, since all of

us lead busy lives, it is understood that

not everyone can make every meeting.

Please give this invitation some serious

thought and if you are interested and

willing to contribute in this way, and we

hope you will.

SUMMER PASSEGGIATE s-o-s

PLEASE VOLUNTEER!

It’s April 14 and, as I’m writing this, we’re

in the midst of a brutal, freakish winter

storm! But, believe it or not, the calendar

says its SPRING and, therefore, time to

make plans for our 3 summer passeggiate

(evening strolls).

Dan Brunmeier and Nancy Korman have

stepped up to the plate and have volun-

teered to organize one in either July or

August. Paul Marino and Collette Arkens

have chaired several in the past few years

and are willing to plan another this year.

They have chosen the month of Septem-

ber for their passeggiata.

At this point, we need a person(s) to fill in

the third spot. To volunteer, please call

WALK BRAVE, WALK STRONG

Back in November, 2017, we had sched-

uled a review on Sylvia Rauzi McElroy’s

book “Walk Brave, Walk Strong.” Unfor-

tunately, it had to be cancelled, but we

are hoping to reschedule.

open forum at the beginning of each

meeting where members can share their

ideas, suggestions and/or concerns.

by the Monday before the board meeting

so it can be added to the agenda.

The meetings are held on the third Thurs-

day of every month. They begin at 5:30

and are held at Luigi’s Italian Bistro on

Manitowoc Road.
