The 2013-2014 school year was filled with excitement, growth and challenges. Our students worked very hard throughout the year and demonstrated their growth socially, behaviorally and academically. Ohio Graduation Test scores were solid. Scores on the AIMSweb tests increased significantly showing student academic growth on an individual improvement basis. Growth has been a “buzz” word in our school this year. Enrollment has grown 141% over the previous 4 years. Sixteen seniors graduated at commencement ceremonies on June 8 at Hope Hotel and Conference Center, Wright-Patterson AFB. This represents the largest graduating class in Dayton Transition High School history. Our building was very full this year with several classrooms being filled to maximum capacity. This situation prompted a building search and resulted in moving the school to a new location for the 2014-2015 school year. The new location will allow us to continue to grow and offer our unique educational approach to more families. Social maturity and emotional growth are also huge indicators in a student’s readiness to step out into the “real world” and live independently. Our in- school behavioral referrals were at a very acceptable level. In addition, student participation in after school activities was very good. It is very gratifying to see our students succeed in their journey through life and excel in areas that in the past were challenges for them. We are all extremely proud of the strides our students have made this year. Thanks for the continued support of our families, friends and members of our Board of Education. We are looking forward to an exciting 2014-2015 school year. Sincerely, Summit Academy Transition High School

2013-2014 ANNUAL REPORT Director’s Message

Dear Friends,

Dayton Transition High School completed its 5th year as a stand alone high school.

Our in-school behavioral referrals were at a very acceptable level.

Sincerely,
