“Pastor’s Weekend Message”

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; whom should I dread? When those who do evil draw near, they stumble and fall” Psalm 27 (26):1-2. As we celebrate today the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we remember the immense and great love that Jesus, God’s Son, has for us. To this unquenchable fount of God’s abundant gift of grace, we as His people beg for his continual outpouring of love. Even though wounded by our sins, God has deposited an infinite treasure of mercy in the sacred heart of Jesus, God’s beloved Son. Today we pay our homage to his heart and ask for the correct reparation. Our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his Nature, both hu-man and divine, is the perfect example of love. He is God’s Beloved Son. One can only image this awesome and wonderful gift of his love for his people. We are God’s people in Christ Jesus. Today we celebrate His Sacred Heart – the Divine and Hu-man Son of God – Jesus. Remember that God loves us, we share our life in Jesus and we love through his Spirit. God is forever loving you. Today let us celebrate the Lord’s love as we share from our own heart all our love following the Sacred Heart of Jesus. May our Lord Jesus, bless you in His Heart today and always, Fr. Juan, your Pastor.

“Mensaje Pastoral del Parroco”

El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación, ¿a quién temeré? El Señor es la defensa de mi vida, ¿Quién me hará tem-blar? Cuando me asaltan mis enemigos, tropiezan y caen” Salmo 26, 1-2. Al celebrar hoy la Solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, recordamos el inmenso amor que Jesús, el Hijo de Dios, tiene por nosotros. A esta fuente de amor inagotable, como abundante don y regalo de Dios, nosotros como su pueblo le pedimos su constan-te amor para que sea siempre entregado en nuestros corazones. Aunque Jesucristo el Hijo de Dios, fue he-rido por nuestros pecados, Dios ha depositado un teso-ro infinito de su misericordia en el corazón de Jesús. La persona de Jesús es sagrada. Hoy le rendimos ho-menaje a su corazón y le pedimos una debida repara-ción por nuestras fallas. Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien, en su Naturaleza, humana y divina, es el per-fecto ejemplo de amor. Jesús es el Hijo Amado de Dios Altísimo. Solo podemos imaginarnos este amor maravilloso y poderoso como un gran don de Dios por su pueblo. Dios nos ama y somos el Pueblo de Dios en Cristo Jesús. Hoy celebramos su Sagrado Corazón – lo Divino y Humano - quien es el Hijo de Dios – Je-sús. Siempre recuerde que Dios nos ama, comparti-mos nuestra vida en Jesús y amamos por medio de su Espíritu. Dios nos ama para siempre. Con gozo cele-bremos hoy el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Por este gran amor de nuestro Señor, nosotros también debe-mos compartir de nuestro corazón, de ese mismo amor siguiendo el ejemplo del Sagrado Corazón. Boletos para la Rifa de Nuestra Fiesta de Salida Ya tenemos los boletos de rifa para nuestra Fiesta Anual de Salida. Esta fiesta es una celebración en honor a Nuestra Señora de San Juan de Los Lagos. Raffle Tickets for our 18th Annual Salida Fiesta The raffle tickets for our 18th Annual Salida Fiesta are here! This Fiesta is a celebration to honor our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos. We encourage every family to take at least one envelope of 10 tickets. We have Golden Tickets again this year. For every 10 tickets that you sell, you will be given a Golden Ticket. There will be a special raffle for the Golden Tickets! They are available in the Parish Office.

St. Pius X Awards—-June 24th at 6:45pm The heart of our parish faith formation programs is the dedication of catechists and their willingness to share their faith with other adults, children and youth. It takes over 2,000 volunteer catechists for the catechetical pro-grams in our 34 parishes and 14 missions to function. The Diocese of Stockton honors those who have faithfully served in this capacity for five years or more at the St. Pius X Awards Banquet at the Cathedral of the Annuncia-tion. Bishop Stephen E. Blaire keynotes the event and presents the awards. Reconocimientos Pio X Junio 24—a las 6.45pm El corazón de la formación de la fe en nuestras parro-quias es la dedicación de los catequistas y su deseo de compartir la fe con adultos, jóvenes y niños. Se necesitan 2,000 catequistas voluntarios para que funcionen los programas catequéticos en nuestras 34 Parroquias y 14 Misiones. La Diócesis de Stockton honra a quienes han servido fielmente como catequistas por cinco años o mas en el Banquete de Reconocimientos Pio X. Five Reasons to Stay Until the End of Mass by Sister Theresa Aletheia Noble, FSP Do you need some motivation to stay a little longer to at-tend the entire Mass? Do you know some other people who might? Here are some reasons I stay until the end of Mass, (besides the fact that I am a nun and it would be scandalous if I ran out right after communion every Sunday): 1. Communion Is About Communing: When we receive communion, we receive Jesus himself. When we eat and run it is like visiting a friend and the moment he is able to sit down and be present to us we jump up and run out the door yelling, “It was so great to spend time with you, see you next week!” Communion is about communing with our Lord and Savior. In order to commune, we have to actually savor this special time with him and take a few moments to be with our Lord. La comunión es conversación: Cuando recibimos la co-munión, recibimos al mismísimo Jesús. Si comemos y salimos corriendo es como ir a visitar a un amigo y precisamente en el momento en que ya puede sentarse y dedicarnos tiempo plena-mente, nos levantamos de repente y salimos corriendo por la puerta mientras gritamos, “Ha sido fantástico pasar un rato contigo, ¡hasta la semana que viene!”. En la comunión hay que conversar con nuestro Señor y Salvador. Y para poder conversar de verdad tenemos que saborear ese momento espe-cial con Él y aprovechar ese breve momento de intimidad con nuestro Señor. (seguido de la próxima semana)
