Saint Nicholas Day Celebration December 6 * 3pm * Berthold Square

(Corner of First Capitol Drive & Main St.) Meet & Greet Saint Nick himself. He will share his story, as

well as, insights about the history and customs of Saint Nicholas Day. Children of all ages are then encouraged to join Saint

Nicholas in the festival’s first ever Saint Nicholas Day Children’s Parade. The procession will travel the short distance from

Berthold Square to the North Main Colonnade, where you are invited to participate in a custom… with a twist.

Saint Nicholas has established a reputation of leaving gold coins in the shoes that others leave out for him. In honor of this tradition, the festi-val is looking to give back this holiday season by hosting a shoe drive, where we invite you to bring along new/gently used shoes to donate.

Santa Lucia Day Celebration December 13 at 6pm North Main Colonnade

Join us as we observe the centuries-old Scandinavian celebration of “St. Lucy’s Day”.

The highlight will be a special evening children’s parade lead by the Saint of Light

herself. Children of all ages are encouraged to follow the procession to Berthold Square where

there will be story-telling by Santa Lucia.

their stories with you in the form of a trading card

Christmas history. Collecting these special cards is a cherished tradition — see how many you

can collect while you are in Saint Charles. Enjoy the sounds of the season as Saint Charles’ official

Victorian carolers, the Cobblestone Wassailiers, serenade you with the familiar
