RECAP

Do you believe that God can do anything,

for anyone, at anytime?

Do you pray like it?

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-8

First of all, then…

In order to accomplish the mission given to us (the charge), we are to pray.

SUPPLICATIONS Pleading with God.

PRAYERS Coming to God with request.

INTERCESSION Coming to God on behalf of another.

THANKSGIVINGS Honoring God’s faithfulness.

The point here is not to create a checklist of types of prayer, but to underline the need for all types of

prayer for all types of peoples.

All types of people includes those in power.

Do we let our earthly political persuasions interfere

with our Kingdom duties?

Would you rather vote than pray?

What would our culture think about us earnestly praying for our leaders,

regardless of who they were?

This is good.

What is good in the eyes of our salvific God?

Prayer for all people.

God desires all people to be saved.

And this takes place through Godly men praying and sharing the Good News.

Why is prayer good in the eyes of a God Who Saves?

God saves through our mouths, both in prayer

and evangelism.

Prayer stirs our hearts to open our mouths and know the will of God in our present time.

Men of God do not move forward on calvary steeds,

but on bended knees.

If we want to see people changed, it doesn't begin with pointing out holes in people's

logic, but rather in forming holes in the knees of our pants.

But first, a reminder.

You are not the mediator.

You are used to save others, but you do not save others.

Jesus alone saves.

Solo Christo.

Ransom.

The Cross of Christ is sufficient for all people.

In every place men should pray.

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

In every place men should pray.

At work?

Yes.

At home?

Yes.

At church?

Yes.

At the coffeehouse?

Yes.

In traffic?

Especially in traffic.

In every place.

Pray in every place, without ceasing.

Do people characterize you as a man who prays?

Godly men pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on them.

A Godly Man carries a Bible in one hand, a trowel in the other, but he moves forward

on his knees.
