PHILIPPIANS 4:12

Page 8: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Jesus provides strength to the weak.

Page 9: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

And only the weak.

Page 10: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.

Ezekiel 34:16

Page 11: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:8

Page 12: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.

1 Corinthians 1:27

Page 13: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

He does not make the strong stronger.

Page 14: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Even when we are faithful, our faith comes from Jesus.

Page 15: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Formerly.

Page 16: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

You are not who you were.

Page 17: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Paul is not in his position because of any characteristic

inherent in Paul. It is because of mercy.

Page 18: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Ignorance causes, but does not excuse, unbelief.

Page 19: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Grace overflowed from Christ.

Page 20: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

There’s more grace in Jesus than there is sin in me.

Page 21: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

The grace of Jesus has covered all of your past wrongs and brokenness.

Page 22: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

The grace of Jesus has covered all of your future wrongs and brokenness.

Page 23: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Jesus died for crimes you haven’t committed yet.

Page 24: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Contained in the grace of Jesus are faith & love.

Page 25: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

There is enough faith, love, & mercy to last a lifetime of lifetimes.

Page 26: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

It is impossible to exhaust the grace of God.

Page 27: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

The saying is deserving of full acceptance.

Page 28: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

God Saves Sinners.

Page 29: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

I am the foremost.

Page 30: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

I am the foremost.

Page 31: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Would you call yourself the worst sinner to ever live?

Page 32: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Paul did.

Page 33: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Is your tendency towards self-inspection greater

than your tendency towards judgment of others?

Page 34: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

You underestimate your sin.

Page 35: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

You underestimate your idols.

Page 36: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Repentance is the movement from look at his/her sin

to look at my sin.

Page 37: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Why We Receive Mercy

Page 38: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

That others may see Him.

Page 39: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Repentance is the movement from look at his/her sin

to look at my sin.

Page 40: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Revival is the movement from look at my sin to look at His grace.

The Charge.

Page 42: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Wage the Good Warfare

Page 43: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Fight.

Page 44: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

By rejecting the charge to fight, some have made a shipwreck of their faith.

Page 45: Hillside Men: 1 Timothy 1:12-20

Handed over to Satan.

A Tale of Two Kingdoms

Godly men fight for the King, who welcomes rebels…

but will not tolerate betrayal.
