Investigate the visual arts through hands-on art making, while learning about various artists, art movements, and arttechniques. Time-tested lessons are structures to achieve a creative goal in a fun educational environment. The coursecontent and inspirational images change each semester, allowing students to explore art on a continual basis withoutrepetition. Students will work with a range of materials and techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.

We are committed to lifelong language learning and teachlanguage using children's favorite things: songs, games, food, dancing and music. Students will learn about Latin American culture, holidays, unique animals and Spanish speaking artists through fun hands-onart projects. Children of all ages and abilities will be taught the game of chess from experienced tournament players. Lessons are tailoredto the abilities of the class. Discover the fun and variety of working with craft materials. Students will learn how to create artworks in clay, metal, wood,fiber, and glass. Students will spend two to four weeks working with each material and complete five unique works of art.

Now is the time to explore and battle in unchartered territory. In this class, battle-bots evaluate the potential of a rough anddangerous area before moving in permanently. Experts need you to build a variety of very unique robots with an awesomeskillset, capable of driving over any junk or obstacles and overcoming any unfamiliar elements or elevation changes in thistreacherous junkyard. Use gears, structural integrity and infrared technology to overcome the unknown. Can your robot notonly survive, but thrive in the junkyard?

Join us for a musical journey through Central and South America as we explore popular Latin rhythms in a fun kid-friendly way!Previous experience in Spanish or dance is not required. While moving to the música, students will learn to recognize andrepeat rhythms, master basic steps for each style of dance introduced, and develop a greater appreciation for the variouscultures in Latin America. When it comes to developing both the creative and technical parts of a child’s mind, an option worth considering is buildingmodel cars and airplanes. Along with building well defined model cars, kiddos will also create “car track painting” art by usingtoy cars as painting tools on a canvas. Paint a pillowcase that is personalized with their name, cast and paint hot wheel carsand create a candy airplane craft!

Elite Music & Fine Arts is a Houston based, family owned, visual and performing arts academy. Elite Music & FineArts has served the Houston Area for 8 years with year round fine arts education. The EMFA Staff is composed ofdegreed professionals with performance and teaching experience. All classes are provided tailored lesson plansspecific to each classes needs with respect to age and size. Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theater through: singing, dancing, and acting! Participants will audition for rolesand rehearse for a production from the Broadway Kids Series. Origami, the art of folding paper is pure magic. Students will learn about "folds" and "bases" as they transform paper intobeautiful objects. This course is the second introductory game course. Students who learned to build the Introductory Game (theArcade style game), will expand their knowledge with new techniques. Students who have not taken the first coursewill also be able to learn the basics. Starting with basic commands, campers will be taught in a step-by-step progressionhow to build a game that they design. First, students will be given an introduction to Game Maker software including addingrooms, building walls, adding backgrounds, warping to new levels, music, sound effects and many other great techniques.Some material will be similar to that in the Arcade Game program taught previously, but students will quickly be challenged aswe add techniques such as gravity to create a Platform Game in the style of Mario or Sonic. At the end of the semester, eachchild will be able to copy his or her game to a Flash drive and get instruction on how to download the software so that they cancontinue to improve and play the game they created.
