Guided reading: 'Windrush Child'(poem)This is a collection of work. Click through the chapters to see the full collection ordownload the attached standards file.

Following participation in a guided reading session based on discussion of the poem'Windrush Child' by John Agard, Jason answered questions about the text.

The teacher wanted to find evidence for children's personal responses to the poem,as well as their understanding of language and skills of retrieval and inference. Shesummarised the group's responses overall, using a table for gathering evidence asshown below. Jason's written responses are illustrated in full.
