SECURITY NOTICE

We have made this home as secure as possible and there is a house safe

provided for your use.

We recommend that you use this safe to store any money and items of

value. If you choose not to do so, please keep them in your possession at

all times and do not leave them in the house while you are out.

**Please make sure that all doors and windows are securely locked each

time you leave the home PLEASE check the doors out to the pool from

the Master en-suite bathroom, patio doors and Master suite.

To lock the front door, simply press the lock symbol in the centre of

the keypad. To unlock the door enter the code that you have been

given. If you make a mistake, press the lock symbol before entering the

code again.

The management company, booking agents, or the owner of this

property cannot be held responsible for any items that are reported

lost or stolen during your stay.

GUEST INFORMATION

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT

Check in time is 4pm and check out t ime is 10am.

GARBAGE

Collections are made from early in the morning until late at night.

Please make sure that your garbage is put out in good t ime, ready

for collection.

COLLECTION DAYS AT HIGH GROVE ARE WEDNESDAY AND

SATURDAY

Please leave the bins in front of the garage, not the end of the

drive as a company takes them out to the curb side for collection

and returns them in the evening

Please use the waste disposal unit in the sink to get rid of food

waste. Please place all other garbage in sealed trash bags and ensure

that they are stored in the bins provided.

Please do not leave the bins open to the elements, and if possible,

avoid plac ing extra plastic bags alongside the bins as this wil l

attract the local wildli fe. They wi ll tear the bags apart and leave the

debris scattered across the road. Please use the waste disposal unit

in the sink to get rid of food waste.

AIR CONDITIONING

The dials should be set to automatic and cool or heat, and then the

sl ide switch set to the desired temperature.

Do not set the temperature lo wer th an 74 degrees or the un it wi l l

WASTE DISPOSAL UNIT

This i s bui l t into the sink and operates v ia a switch behind the tap

on the breakfast bar wal l. Please use this for any food waste rather

than using the bins. This helps to keep those bugs away from having

a feast! There is a ‘trip’ button at the base of the unit under the

sink unit i f the unit stops working. PLEASE NOTE - Do not operate

this unit without a steady flow of COLD water or i t wi l l be

damaged. Th e un it should be turn ed of f pr io r to s to ppin g th e f low

of water. I f the unit s tops workin g do not push anythin g down into

the opening, espec ial ly not your f ingers!

Please no te th at th i s un it should on ly be used for th e d ispo sal o f

organic materials such as vegetable peelings, eggshells or leftover

meals.

No metal or bones should be put into these waste disposal units.

COOKER/STOVE

All the controls are clearly marked and easy to use.

To operate the cooker press BAKE and select the desired

temperature by pressing the arrow signs up or down. Then press

COOK TIME and select the amo un t o f min utes req ui red. Pres s START

an d th e c o o k in g per io d wi l l commence. There is a broi ler/gri l l

bui l t in to the oven. Remember to leave the oven door s lightly open

when using the gri ll .

Please note that some cookers have a lever, located at the front of

the oven, which is part of the c leaning mechanism. When this i s in

operation, or is in the process of cool ing down, the han dle wi l l not

release unti l the t imed cyc le is complete. This should then slide

across with ease. Should you experience any problems with the

operation of th is lever, please contact the off ice.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Please locate the Fire Extinguisher in your home as soon as possible

in case of an emergency. Th is wi l l be located ei th er in th e ki tch en,

garage or laun dry room. Please contact the off ice on 352 394 2985

i f th is i tem cannot be found.

In the event of a major fire CALL 911 immediately and ask for the

Fire Service. Please take t ime to read the leaflet, which we have

inc luded in th is manual on Exit Dri l l s, in the event of a serious f i re

in the home.

WATER

Th e water in F lo r ida i s safe to dr ink . I f yo u pre fer to use bo t t l ed

water , th i s can be purchased at the local supermarket.

Water is very expensive. Please do not leave taps and showers

running for longer than necessary.

ELECTRICITY

plugged in to a socket, but i t wil l only turn on by operating a switch

on the wall.

TELEPHONE

All calls are free except to UK mobile or premium numbers.

Al l local calls require only the last 7 digits of the phone number.

For longer distance calls within the USA, please dial 1 + area code

number.

CABLE TELEVISION

Al l televis ions are cable ready. On th e control press the TV but ton

and select channel 3. Then you can select CBL and use the

control ler to control the TV VERTICAL BLINDS

Window and patio blinds are very fragile. When operating vertical or

horizontal blinds, please be sure to pull the cord that moves the blinds

to the open position first. If this is not done the blinds will not pull

correctly, and they wil l twist and break.

SECURITY

For your own safety and security, please remember to lock all the doors

and windows every time you leave the property, and before going to

bed at night. Famil iar ize yoursel f with the locks in the property,

inc luding those on the patio doors. This house is f i tted with a

keyless lock system. Please make certain that you always press the

padlock symbol in the middle of the keypad on the front door when

you leave the house. This operates the mechanism and locks the door.

** Please lock the front door from the inside when you are in the house or people could come in whilst you are in the pool or relaxing on the deck.

NEVER allow strangers, even if they claim to be contractors, into the

property unless prior arrangements have been made. If in any doubt,

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PARKING

Please note that in most counties you must not park cars on

the road overnight. Cars must be parked in the driveway

from dusk until dawn. In daylight hours they must not be

parked facing the oncoming traffic. The Sheri ff wil l i ssue a

t icket for ei ther of the above misdemeanours.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS OUTSIDE THE HOMES AS

IRRIGATION SPRINKLER HEADS GET BROKEN

BUG CONTROL

One of the areas of concern when coming to Flor ida is the nasty

l i tt le creepy c rawl ies who reside h ere . Each h ome i s sprayed

regularly to co mbat th e problem but loose trash left in the home is

the main reason why these bugs appear. I f you dispose of al l trash

properly , the pes ts wi l l not be att rac ted.

Just watch your s tep and remember i t i s not a good idea to walk on

the grass barefooted.

STAINS. MARKS AND SPILLAGES

In order that all o f our guests can enjoy the high standard of our

homes, may we suggest that you use saucers and trays to carry food

and drinks and clean up any accidental spi llages immediately,

espec ially on carpets?

In the event that a spillage cannot be easily removed, please place a

clean damp cloth over the stain and call the office as soon as

possible. Please do not use strong chemicals to treat the stain, as this

can sometimes subsequently make i t impossible to remove.

Please note that the chlorine in the pool can ser iously damage and

mark the carpets or furniture. So please, ensure that you dry

yoursel f after swimming and before enter ing the living area. Please

try to avoid sitting on the sofas or chairs in wet c lothing, or whi le

wrapped in wet towels. Many thanks for your co-operation.

IF SOMETHING BREAKS

We appreciate that accidents do happen, no matter how careful you

try to be. If anything gets broken during your stay, i t would be much

apprec iated i f you could replace i t (Wal Mar t). I f you cannot f ind

the same i tem, please cal l the of f ice and we wi l l arrange for a

replacement.

I f you have travel ler’s cheques in any other currency other than US

dollars, you are advised to exchange these at a bank. A fee is l ikely

to be added by the bank for th is serv ice.
