RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE

In 950, MAGOTTEAUX developed the first cast chromium balls in its foundry located in Vaux, Belgium. Today, the Group produces more than 250,000 tonnes per annum of grinding media and wear parts, in specialized production units located in major global markets.

MAGOTTEAUX continues to develop solutions to fight against wear mechanisms met in crushing, grinding and pyro-processing applica-tions, and now offers, over 50 alloys created from special chemical compositions and heat treatments. MAGOTTEAUX guarantees security of supply and quick delivery of reliable and competitive grinding media and wear parts, around the world.

MAGOTTEAUX intends to remain the reference supplier by offering quality products as well as the necessary resources to fulfil its custo-mers’ needs i.e.: optimization of technical and/or economic perfor-mances, service(s) as requested, best suited « customer/supplier » relationship.

Welcome to the world of high performance cast grinding media !

MAGOTTEAUX GUARANTEES SECURITY OF SUPPLY AND QUICK DELIVERY OF RELIABLE AND COMPETITIVEGRINDING MEDIA AND WEAR PARTS, AROUND THE WORLD.

THE RANGE OF MAGOTTEAUX CAST BALLS

MAGOTTEAUX offers a unique variety of grinding media that combine the following characteristics :

. size : from 2 to 25 mm (from ½”to 5”),

. chromium percentage of the alloys : from 0,5 to 5%,

. heat treatment cycles.

The media can be classified in 5 main categories each of which has a specific brand name with an individual reference in each particular field of application:

THE CHOICE OF THE MEDIA DEPENDS UPON:. the material to be ground and its granulometry, . the grinding process,. the relative importance of the wear mechanisms to be dealt with (abrasion, corrosion, impact),. the factors influencing these mechanisms.

THE CHOICE OF THE MEDIA DEPENDS UPON THE MATERIAL TO BE GROUND.

GRINDING PROCESS : FROM PASSION TO EXPERTISE

Grinding became a passion to us 50 years ago. On this foundation we built, not only the Group’s expertise but also Slegten’s expertise, the Engineering Company of the Group which is also a key player in terms of process recommendations.

MAXIMIZING THE QUANTITY AND/OR QUALITY OF A MATERIAL WHILE MINIMIZING THE ENERGY REQUIRED TO GRIND IT, IS A CHALLENGE OUR ENGINEERS WILL BE TAKING UP WITH YOU.

To do so, they will rely on the results of tests being carried out : . in laboratory (Slegten hardness test, chemical or mineralogy tests…), . in our pilot grinding plants or in our batch mill grinding stations, . on site, in partnership with you.

INNOVATION FIRST

AS A PIONEER, MAGOTTEAUX GOES ON INVESTING IN THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW GRINDING MEDIA.

In our laboratory and our pilot foundry, we test new techniques and new foundry processes, and develop new products such as the KERAMAX® MT™, an innovative composite solution valued by our customers active in the field of ultra-fine grinding.

AT THE SAME TIME, MAGOTTEAUX KEEPS ADAPTING EXISTING SOLUTIONS SO THAT THESE FULFIL YOUR MOST DEMANDING REQUIREMENTS.
