1 WHY DO WE HAVE THIS DOCUMENT This document describes the educational workshop offered by Global-Mark Pty Ltd to clients seeking to achieve a level of Diploma for Quality Auditing. On successful completion of all formal assessment, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and a Certificate of Attainment. This document is subject to change without notice. 2 OVERVIEW This course introduces and provides hands on experience on how to perform and evaluate a comprehensive management system audit in accordance with ISO19011, the concepts of continuous improvement and quality in project management. Role plays and discussions are used during the course to consolidate the student’s ability to work individually as well as in a team environment. The course delivery consists of 7 days face-to-face classroom based work, as well as external assignments. Global-Mark recommends students take 12-24 months to complete the diploma qualification. The program can be completed sooner depending on experience and recognition of prior learning (RPL). The maximum duration is 24 months.

v Audit Team Leader: 1 day (Exemplar Global-TL, BSBAUD501 – Initiate a quality audit, BSBAUD503 – Lead a quality audit, BSBAUD504 – Report on a quality audit and BSBWOR502 – Lead and manage team effectiveness)

v Facilitating Continuous Improvement: 2 days (BSBMGT516 – Facilitate continuous improvement)

v Manage Project Quality: 2 days (BSBPMG513 – Manage project quality)

3 OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course you will have a good understanding of:

� Why we audit, the benefits and the uses

� Be able to apply all of the steps in the audit process from the Standard (International Audit Guidelines ISO19011)

� Understand audit terminology, structures and techniques

� The structure and framework of an audit and the steps leading up to it – scheduling, interviewing, reporting and developing Corrective Actions

� The role, responsibilities and authorities of the Team Leader

� How to perform a comprehensive management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011, both as a member of an audit team or as an Audit Team Leader

� How to manage and direct other team members (as a Team Leader) and provide feedback on their performance

� How to chair, organize and control the team during the audit, but also after the audit, when each member’s findings need to be agreed as conclusions and presented to the Auditee

� Auditing and have conducted a minimum of 3 quality mock audits as Audit Team Leader

� How to lead continuous improvement systems and processes, and understand strategies and systems, monitoring and coaching, sustainability and knowledge management

� Monitoring and adjusting performance strategies, including operational progress, make adjustments and communicate to stakeholders

� Managing opportunities, including information, recording performance of team, and future further improvements

� Determining quality requirements for a project such as quality objectives, quality management plans, methods, techniques and tools

� How to implement quality processes for a project; undertake audits, assess quality control, identify causes of variance and maintain a system

� Implementing project quality improvements for a project including how to implement process and implement changes, review project outcomes an determine effectiveness, identify and document lessons learnt

This Global-Mark workshop can be run in house: this provides organisations and managers the opportunity to adapt the questions (and to an extent the exercises) to their conditions and needs.

Global-Mark cannot provide any specific advice, but will answer questions based on its experience and knowledge of the requirements.

4 WORKSHOP FEES In-house Course

The workshop can be run in-house, please contact our office for a quote (up to 12 attendees). To run the course we will need:

v A training room (U-shape set-up is preferred)

v Whiteboard

v Projector screen

Typically the courses are run from 9:00am to 4:30pm, with 15 minute breaks at 10:30am for Morning Tea, and 2:30pm for Afternoon Tea. A 40 minute lunch break has also been planned.

Public Courses (over a period of 7 days)

The workshop fees, which are payable in advance of the course, are:

v Single participant: $3800 (GST exempt)

v 2 or more participants: 10% Discount

5 ASSESSMENT METHOD The assessment methods will include, student manual assessments based on written questions and work examples, assessor and peer observations of role-plays. The Diploma also includes external assignments, which students have 12 months to submit for assessment.

The assessment sections are clearly marked in the workbooks and students will be notified during the class.

6 SIMULATION AUDIT OPTION

For those who are unable to find a Qualified Lead Auditor or someone with Diploma of Quality Auditing qualification to observe them at their workplace (to complete the external assessment) can attend one of our simulation audit sessions. It will be a half-day, face-to-face assessment where students will be required to conduct a simulation audit.

It means students will have a choice to either complete the external assessment at their workplace or complete the simulation audit. A fee of $300+ GST will be charged if the student chooses to attend the simulation audit. A booking has to be made by filling the appropriate box in the student enrolment form if you wish to go ahead with the simulation audit.
