YORKSHIRE HOUSING JOB DESCRIPTION JOB PURPOSE To maximise the income Yorkshire Housing generates from grant and other funding sources by actively pursuing opportunities to support our Community Investment Strategy and the delivery of initiatives to contribute to the delivery of the Corporate Plan. DIMENSIONS Staff managed: None Budget responsibility: None Scope/volume of work: Required to work across YH region, working with colleagues to assist with identifying funding for key projects which support key strategies. The post is expected to be self-funding through external grants. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Write and present bids for funding from a range of public, private and charitable sources at a local, regional and national level which support the delivery of key strategies 2. Identify opportunities for local businesses to support community investment and neighbourhood activities through their CSR duties 3. Liaise with other colleagues to understand their funding needs to support the delivery of our Corporate Plan aspirations, providing assistance to apply for appropriate funds to meet their needs. 4. Work with partner organisations to maximise the strength of Yorkshire Housing and partner bids which will benefit the neighbourhoods in which we work. 5. Research and maintain a database of funding sources including the availability of grants such as Lottery Funds ensuring systems are put in place to track successful bids and learn from unsuccessful submissions to improve future bidding performance 6. Publicise bidding successes and project outcomes to raise the profile of Yorkshire Housing in order to secure future funding and seeking recognition for the work undertaken through awards submissions.
