Overview: ABCya! Crossword Puzzle Maker is a fun and easy way for students to create interactive crossword puzzles. Students can input answers and clues using a simple form or by copying and pasting from a text document. Crossword Puzzles can be played on the computer or printed out! This version of crossword puzzle maker requires at least 10 words per puzzle and a maximum of 20.

Overview: A PDF document allows you or others to view a document, comment on it, or sign it without editing the document itself. This is useful when you want to post something without allowing others to edit it.

Materials: Chromebook

Procedures: Today, I would like for you to open the Google Slides presentation that you created yesterday. Then, click on FILE, then DOWNLOAD, then select PDF. The PDF will show up down in the left corner of your screen. Click on it and then you may download and save to whatever folder or flash drive you want. This will allow you to share it without worrying about someone changing it. Email it to me by attaching the PDF to the email.

Overview: Students will research past Russian efforts into space. This will be a three day project.

Materials: Computer and Internet access.

Procedure: Students will research 5-7 Russian ONLY, efforts to space. Examples listed here: https://www.space.com/9703-top-10-soviet-russian-space-missions.html. Once the research has finished, compare the missions to each other and write the comparison down in Google Docs or Slides. Turn it in on Google Classroom.

Class: Automation & Robotics Teacher: Mr. Long

RETRO ROBOTICS

Overview: Students will learn about robots that were built prior to the year 2000. This will be part of a three day project.

Materials: Computer, Internet access and Recycled materials

Procedure: Use the information you found previously on retro robots. Build a “retro” looking robot. Explain its functions in a Google Docs and compare it to actual retro robot and explain why you decide to build yours the way you did. Turn in a picture of your robot, plus the explanations in Google Classroom.

Today is your last chance to participate in one of the scavenger hunts in and around your home. Select one or create one for ME to do! You will need to take pictures and post them on the Google Doc. Be sure to read the the directions at the top of each Scavenger Hunt.
