You can register online at http://kidsoncampus.franklincollege.edu or complete and return the registration form with payment to Franklin College. We have several registration options listed below. Scholarships We will offer scholarships to children of Johnson County schools. Scholarships will be awarded on referral from school counselors for those students that have economic challenges that would otherwise make it impossible for them to attend. Recipients must have maintained a C-average or better and have been a respectful student to their classmates and teachers.

Payments Cash, Check and Credit Cards are accepted (Visa, Master Card & Discover). Please make checks payable to Franklin College. Please bring cash payments into the Event Management office located in the Napolitan Student Center, basement level.

Refund A refund, minus a $20 processing fee and material fees, will be made for any cancellation two weeks prior to that session start date. No refunds will be made after that two week period. No refunds for material fees will be given.

flight! You will work through the design

process to construct various rockets. You

will explore different designs, make

scientific observations, and after a trial run-

you will make modifications to your rocket.

turtles? Come explore the world of

animals! We will construct crafts, study

create a worm habitat to observe and

experiment with throughout the week. Do

and math while exploring the world of

worms.

Transformed

Discover the life cycle of a caterpillar as it

transforms it into a beautiful butterfly. Find

out what makes a butterfly different than a

moth. Determine if a butterfly is an insect.

Want to play chess? Don't know how?

Don't worry, you can learn the most

What do Brown Bear, What Do You See,

and The Very Hungry Caterpillar have in

common? The iconic style of Eric Carle. In

best of all, create our own masterpieces.

Theatre

Bring those story book characters to life

with puppets. You will have the

opportunity to create a puppet and

reenact a fable. You will explore the

Theatre

This Reader’s Theaters will provide fun and

interactive ways to practice reading

fluently and with expression. By using

scripts adapted from fairy tales, students

will practice their reading skills while acting

out their favorite knight, princess, dragon

or witch!

Field Day Spend a fun-filled week outside in the sun

Beginner

Use a flight simulator program to learn how

to operate an airplane. Fly a variety of

aircrafts in different regions around the

world. Learn how the pilots do it!

Advanced Have you taken Flight Simulator 1? Yes!

Then you are ready for the advanced

level. You will learn more techniques, fly

Fly Free Paint and decorate a bird house to hang

in your yard. Learn about birds common in

try going a day without it. What really

happens when you turn on the lights? Build

will imagine your own super-cool world

Puppet Masters Would Goldilocks break into the bear’s

house again? Would Rapunzel cut her

very own show!

Water...It’s Energy

All over the world, scientists are finding

new ways to not only save energy, but

make energy as well! Now it is your turn to

be the scientist! Through exciting

demonstrations and experiments, we will

create various forms of renewable energy,

such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric, to

see it work first hand. The class will put your

heads together to come up with your very

own renewable energy class project to

show what you have learned!

Ultimate Frisbee This class will teach you the skills needed to

play the fastest growing sport in the world.

This non-contact sport merges elements of

soccer, hockey and football with a Frisbee

us for step-by-step lessons. Create a

Frosty Finish Join us on the last day of camp to celebrate the fun we have had and share some of our experiences from the week. At 11:50am all classes will return to the JCFA atrium. Then at 12:20pm, once everyone has had an opportunity to eat their lunch and enjoy some frosty ice cream treats, we will share what we have learned with one another.

Sign In & Out Camp will begin promptly at 8:30am for the AM or All Day classes. If you have signed up for PM classes you should arrive at 12:35pm. If you are only attending one class please arrive 10 minutes before class time. Parents must sign in and out their children each day of camp. Each child will receive a name tag that should be returned before they leave at the end of each day, along with a color card representing the zone they will be in at sign out.

Golden Camper We are excited to announce that this year during each session we will be drawing for the Golden Camper award. Any student that is found helping other students, participating in class, and being an overall good citizen; they will be given a ticket that can be entered into the drawing. At the end of camp, during the Frosty Finish, we will draw the winner. One boy and girl from each session will be awarded a cool lunch tote with tons of goodies inside, specialized T-Shirt and a certificate.
