Lots of new families have joined our school this term and we look forward to geng to know them over the coming weeks. Changing schools is such a daunng event in a childs life and the way in which these new students are welcomed by both students and staff is a real credit to the caring and welcoming nature of our school. Congratulaons to Terrence, Cooper, Hayley and Octavia on their awards. Our Dolphins Footy Team may get to parcipate in the All Schools Carnival this year. Plans are under way to run a Mid North Coast Carnival so stay tuned. We have been training the house down with about 60 kids from Kindi to Year 6 each lunch and recess so it will be great to get the big boys and girls out onto the field in 2020. Our debaters will be let loose on Friday against Toormina PS. They have been honing their skills each week and are ready to go. Under Mrs Parkins guidance, we know they will achieve their very best. Good luck! Our student support structures are quite complex at FPVC and are designed to give each individual child the chance to shine. Unfortunately, at mes, it is necessary to implement the DoE suspension and expulsion procedures. Suspension is a chance for students to re- set inappropriate behaviours and staff to look carefully at improving exisng supports. Pri- or to suspension being used we try a huge range of intervenons and supports. The sup- port of our families when suspension becomes necessary is nothing short of amazing and is a key factor in ensuring students take responsibility for their behaviours and choices. Working together we can make sure that each child aends school on every day possible as this is definitely the key to their success. Thank you to our FPVC community for your support. It makes a real difference! Mrs Bekis has been working closely with our local NDIS provider to set up an NDIS desk in our school. This service will be available to families who are currently on NDIS or who would like to know more about accessing the services available through this scheme. Please give myself, Aunty Nerida or Vanessa a ring and we will book you in so that you can make sure your child is receiving all the support they are entled to. Have a great week. Todd.

Newsletter Issue 15 Week 3 Term 3 4th August, 2020

Welcome to Week 3 of Term 3. Lots of new families have joined our school this term and we look forward to getting to know them over the coming weeks. Changing schools is such a daunting event in a child’s life and the way in which these new students are welcomed by both students and staff is a real credit to the caring and welcoming nature of our school.

With whole school assemblies on hold for the moment due to Covid restrictions, our Kindi kids conducted their very own assembly last week. Congratulations to Terrence, Cooper, Hayley and Octavia on their awards.

Our Dolphins Footy Team may get to participate in the All Schools Carnival this year.

Unfortunately, at times, it is necessary to implement the DoE suspension and expulsion procedures. Suspension is a chance for students to re-set inappropriate behaviours and staff to look carefully at improving existing supports. Pri-or to suspension being used we try a huge range of interventions and supports. The sup-port of our families when suspension becomes necessary is nothing short of amazing and is a key factor in ensuring students take responsibility for their behaviours and choices. Working together we can make sure that each child attends school on every day possible as this is definitely the key to their success. Thank you to our FPVC community for your support. It makes a real difference!

Mrs Bekis has been working closely with our local NDIS provider to set up an NDIS desk in our school. This service will be available to families who are currently on NDIS or who would like to know more about accessing the services available through this scheme. Please give myself, Aunty Nerida or Vanessa a ring and we will book you in so that you can make sure your child is receiving all the support they are entitled to.

Have a great week.

Todd.
