Five Year Professional Plan.

1.Career Goals and objectives: To become a certified Speech Improvement Teacher in New York City in five years with a permanent NYS certification. Some promotional goals that I am looking forward to are an out of classroom position as a Unit Coordinator or Job sire coordinator. I am also looking forward to becoming an assistant Principal I will have to work very hard because I will need 30 more credits in Administration and Supervision.

2. Currently I am trying to do an exemplary job as a Classroom Speech and Language Provider. I am trying to keep up with all of my paper work and make sure that all student lesson plans demonstrate what I am working on with the students.

3. Currently I hold a Bachelors Degree as a Classroom Speech and Language Provider, and I am a beginning Speech and Language Provider. With an Initial Certificate this certificate is only good for five years. I need to take a test to get permanent certification not just for a raise but to keep my job. Currently I only make $45,530.00.

4. In order to achieve my five year plan I need to complete a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and take a test for my professional license if I do these two things along with my present teaching experience I will get a raise of 74,796.00 in eight years. I will in five years be eligible for an out of classroom position.

5. I will also be eligible to apply for an Assistant Principals job if I begin Administration and Supervision training after my Masters.

6. The barriers that could occur stopping me from reaching my goals is I might be so exhausted after working on my Masters Degree that going back to college for Administration and Supervision could be delayed.
