Forest statistics
Forestry land (incl. protected areas) in 2008–2012 totalled 26 167 000 ha, of which 53.1% was owned privately, 7.5% by companies, 34.6% by the state and 4.8% by others.The volume of growing stock was 2 309 mil. m3, of which 49.7% was pine, 30.1% spruce and 20.2% non-coniferous.
