Warm Greetings to all!

The venture of JEC Philippines towards providing excellent service to our clients

has been our road map of success for this year, as we place the business into a

higher notch of accomplishment, gaining credibility in the industry and furthering

the game amongst our competitors.

Everyone has shown utmost diligence and dedication in doing their respective

tasks in the business. Thus, I am very pleased to announce that we have attained

8% increase of sales versus 2013. Particularly for HVAC Project Sales, we have

increased our sales to almost 100% compared to last year. This shows that we are

heading towards the achievement of our forecast target for the year. The midyear

results prove that we are committed to our aspiration to be one of the leaders in

the industry.

Truly, it is a job well done and I hope that our accomplishments during the first two

quarters will encourage us to keep our focus on this year’s goals. As we move

towards the last two quarters, we need to continue this determination to provide

quality products and services to our clients and partners.

Thank you all for your dedication!

Dependability Amidst Crisis

Packing turbulent winds of up to 185 kph, Typhoon Glenda,

internationally known as Rammasun, battered the Philippines on

Wednesday morning, 16 July 2014. This caused major flooding

and damage to property in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

It was during this emergency situation that JEC maintenance

personnel deployed in three (3) Ayala-managed properties displayed

steadfast commitment to their posts, as they provided immediate

assistance beyond the call of duty. The JEC personnel stayed on

site and even extended their working hours to prevent disruption

of operations, employing precautionary measures to avoid

accidents and damages to both persons and properties in their

assigned sites. They have shown unwavering dedication in

ensuring that all facilities under their supervision remain operational

and uninterrupted. They have likewise exhibited concern during the

calamity by participating in the major clean-up operations even

though this is beyond their normal scope of work and duties.

This dedication and initiative to extend help during a calamity beyond the call of duty did not pass unnoticed as the respective management

of Celadon Residences, Woodside Homes and Serendra Utilities Management Group have all commended these JECP personnel and

expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the team’s dedication and hard work during the typhoon.

JECP Wins BellTel Turnkey Project

JEC Philippines succeeded in its bid for a large-scale turnkey project

in Tipolo, Cebu City for Bell Telecommunications, a subsidiary of San

Miguel Corporation.

This first major venture by JEC outside of Metro Manila showcases

the Citec Brand of precision airconditioning. It also prompted the

initiative to launch the Citec Brand in the niche market of BPOs, call

centres and large data centre in Cebu. Future plans include the

establishment of trade channels through distributorships. During the

launch, a number of possible dealers have shown keen interest in

partnering with JECP for the Citec brand. Preparations are now

being made to formalise this distribution channels and for the

continuous branding and product stewardship program.

6TH Tournament Cup Fused Rival Teams to Comradeship

The 6

th JEC Partners Cup held last May 17, 2014 at Centro Atletico

was a smashing success. It was well attended by 24 participating

teams from partners, clients and suppliers with around 144

competitive players geared up for badminton battle.

The players were welcomed by Mr. Guenter Taus, who thanked

everyone for their continued participation in the annual tournament

which JECP started in 2008. Mr. WC Pang, General Manager of

Frimec International, JECP’s partner in the distributorship of Frimec

in the country, also graced the event. The tournament featured an

exhibition game between guest players from the Far Eastern

University, Messrs. Ryan Balatbat and Joshmark Maquelabat, and

Mr. Raymond Dawal of Ayala Land, Inc. who teamed up with Mr. WC

Pang. The aforesaid players left the audience in awe as they

paraded off their intensifying double tricks on the court.

The tilt has been championed by the Ayala Land team which won the

over-all award, bagging trophies for the Mixed and Women’s Double,

while the PLDT team triumphed on the Men’s Double. It was indeed

a very intense but rewarding game for everyone. The annual

tournament not only succeeded in promoting work-life balance and

strengthening camaraderie among clients and business partners but

also opened a new window of opportunity for the business to capture

a new market.

JECP Joins ECCP’s 2014 Energy Smart Phils The JECP joins this year’s Energy Smart Philippines - Clean Energy

Solutions for a Sustainable and Competitive Philippines organized by

the European Chamber Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP). With

the objective to promote the advancement of solutions and initiatives

on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean technology,

increase awareness among stakeholders on energy issues, and

Business opportunities in the country, demonstrate the latest

technologies and innovations on energy efficiency, renewable energy

and clean technology and provide a networking platform for forging

partnerships & business cooperation.

President Benigno Aquino III graced the event and ensured energy

supply if a shortfall does arise in the country. The Vice President of

the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), Mr.

Guenter Taus, delivered the Welcoming Remarks during the Energy

Smart Forum, emphasizing on the significance of energy efficiency in

all private and public sectors, shaping a more responsible outlook in

servicing the market.

JECP’s participation in this event is aimed at strengthening its

presence in the industry by promoting the CITEC brand and

introducing the advance CITEC unit with DC inverter technology that

enables capacity regulation with variable speed. Its state of the art

“Frame Compliance Mechanism” (FCM) technology advances the

efficiency and reliability of the compressor, which minimizes gas

leakage in scroll compression chamber with its self-adjusting system

of the Orbiting Scroll position, thus, preserving the refrigerating

capacity and reducing power loss.

JECP promotes energy efficiency and reduces energy consumption

in three steps: energy audit, equipment installation, and operations

and maintenance. These processes are JECP’s edge in providing

comprehensive turnkey solutions to the market.

Promoting Safety, Building Excellence

“The training taught us how to respond in emergency situations that

require immediate attention to prolong the life of a person in danger

of death while we wait for the official medical team to arrive” said Mr.

Ryan Cuebillas, JECP Safety Supervisor, one of the attendees of the

First Aid with Basic Life Support Training.

The two-day training was held last September 12-13, 2014 at JEC

Training Room conducted by the Philippine Red Cross – Makati

Chapter. Said program was attended by selected JECP employees

and focused on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Soft Tissue

Injury Treatment and Patient Handling. It was conducted to promote

health and safety awareness in emergency situations to prevent

and/or avoid accidents.

Employee Enhancement Trainings

The HR Department, headed by its Manager, Ms. Marissa V. Albert,

conducted a series of Orientation Seminars on Employee Benefits

from August to September of this year. The orientation is designed to

promote better understanding by employees of the different benefits

provided by the Company to all regular employees. It is aimed to

motivate employees to consider a long-term career with the

Company and reduce employee attrition.

Similarly, JECP also organized a Professional Boundaries

Development Program administrated by the Bob Garon &

Vandevoort Consultancy Inc. (BGVCI), to help members of the

organization define their roles and set personal and professional

boundaries in every interaction in the workplace.
