The amount of fast food consumption is measured based on total grams consumed per week. The graph of three types of fastfood each show quite different pattern. The fried chicken declined over the 15 years and increased slightly in the last five years, while the burger and increased slightly in the last five year, while the burger and the pizza showed an increase. In 1990, the most popular fast food was Fried Chicken. Over 300g were consumed each week. By 2005, however, this had fallen to just over 200g. Consumption of other fast foods such as pizza and hamburgers increased. The amount of Pizza eaten shot up from about 20g a week to more than 270g, overtake Burger in the year 2010. Burger consumption also increased, rising from about 80g in 1970 to almost 300g in 2010. In conclusion, this change in the choice of foods was an increase in the amount of fast food consumed. In 1990, Malaysia teenagers ate about 400g a week of fast food. In 2010, on the other hand, this had more than doubled, near to 1000g.
