IntroductionBlue Mountains Economic Enterprise (BMEE) presents The Bushfire Building Conference & Expo 2015, a two-day event exploring the key issues around planning, designing and building in a bushfire-prone area. The 2015 event follows BMEE’s highly successful 2014 Bushfire (re)Build Expo, which attracted more than 750 attendees from industry and the community�

Friday, 18 September: The Bushfire Building Industry Conference will focus on building in bushfire-prone areas with presentations, Q&A sessions and panels with industry leaders� There is No Expo on this day; participation is offered through our Gold Sponsor packages with an opportunity to present at the conference� Please note this is a limited offer� (See page 8) Saturday, 19 September: The Bushfire Building Expo is an exhibition showcase of leading technology, products and professional services necessary to build in a bushfire zone. The Community Forum will run concurrently with the Expo and present essential knowledge and information for all residents living in a bushfire-prone area.

Rules for ExhibitingExhibitors are required to clearly state the BAL rating of their exhibited product� Products must comply with Australian Standard AS 3959�Exhibitors & volunteers are required to attend the Expo briefing at 8.00 am Saturday, 19 September 2015 in the Auditorium (the Hub)�Stands must be manned by exhibitors at all times� Exhibitor personnel to wear their lanyard at all times�AV displays are permitted within booths� You may provide your own AV equipment or use BMEE’s Expo supplier, ExpoNet�Exhibitors may use audible electronic devices, but noise must be confined to the exhibitor’s assigned space� Displays, including supporting advertising material must be contained within the allocated space� Walkways must not be utilised�Exhibitors are to respect the rights assigned to sponsors� Exhibitors must not dismantle displays prior to 5pm, Saturday 19 September 2015�Amendments to exhibition layout: while every effort is made to preserve the published layout of the exhibition, the Organisers shall be entitled to vary the layout if this is in the general interest of the exhibition�The Organisers reserve the right to require any exhibitor to discontinue any activity that may cause annoyance or interference with others�Closing of exhibit: the Organisers shall be entitled to terminate an exhibitor’s participation at any time for failure by Exhibitor to perform, meet or observe any rule set in this manual� Exhibitor shall not be entitled to a refund of any payment�

InsuranceAll exhibitors must ensure their public liability policy covers their activities during the Expo� Whilst all care is taken, exhibitors should make their own decisions as to whether fire and theft cover is required. BMEE and the Venue shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury that may occur to the exhibitor, its employees or property from any cause whatsoever prior to, during and subsequent to the exhibition� The exhibitor, on contracting space or an exhibition stand, expressly releases BMEE and the Venue from, and agrees to indemnify same against, any and all claims for such direct and indirect loss, damage or injury� Exhibitors must provide a copy of their Public Liability Certificate of Currency to the Organisers by 7 August 2015�

SecurityThe protection of property is the responsibility of the exhibitor� Exhibitors must make provisions for the safeguarding of their goods, materials, equipment and displays at all times� Personal items such as wallets, laptops, mobile telephones or any easily portable items should not be left unattended�

Delivery InstructionsNo storage facilities are available at the Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub prior to the event� Deliveries can only be made to the loading dock (at the back of the venue) from 9 am, Friday 18 September 2015� Please note, no unloading is allowed from the disabled parking and will carry a fine.The Venue will not accept responsibility for the safety of any items delivered to the Venue or site in the absence of the exhibitor� Exhibitors are free to use their normal transport companies for freight forwarding� A room will be available to store packing cases during the Expo�

Car ParkingExhibitors are asked to park on the lower level (All day parking) at the rear of the Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub� No parking or unloading is allowed from the disabled parking and will carry a fine.

Cancellation policyCancellation of exhibitor spaces must be made in writing to BMEE no later than 7 August 2015� For cancellations received prior to 7 August 2015, a cancellation fee of $250 applies� For cancellations received after 7 August 2015, no refunds will be available�Conference tickets are transferable but transfer requests must be made in writing� For cancellations or transfers please contact Agnes Zalan on 02 4782 6555
