Welcome to the YMCA!

Spring is a great time to get active with your YMCA. We have a myriad of programs and events designed for you and your entire family. Healthy Kids Day, SPLASH, the start of our summer camp enrollment or training for our 17th Annual Yankee Doodle Dash fun run on July 4 are just a few of the ways you can be involved. YMCA programs are designed to provide fun, encourage the building of new friendships, and promote the opportunity to learn new skills. If you’re looking for programs for yourself, your family or giving back and volunteering in your community, the YMCA has a place for you. For over 115 years, the YMCA has been a hub of community connection. We invite you to check us out in 2016! Welcome to the Everett Family YMCA; for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility."

exercise classes, enjoy lap and recreational swimming, and receive a

free wellness orientation when you join. And as a facility member, you’ll

be eligible for priority registration and reduced fees on specialty classes

community is considered a free Community Member and is welcome to

participate in key community events and programs such as fun runs,

health fairs, and community education.

MY Y IS NOW EVERY Y IN WASHINGTON

We want to encourage members to use the Y as often as they can.

Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to use a Y in a different

location when travelling, near a workplace, or in another region. Now,

full facility/full privilege YMCA members can use other Y facilities

throughout the state. See website for program details.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

As part of the YMCA’s corporate membership plan, employees will enjoy

the benefits of belonging to Snohomish County’s largest and most

respected health, wellness, and human service organization. For more

information about corporate membership, please contact the Member

Services Director.

MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL

We believe everyone deserves a Y experience, so the YMCA of

Snohomish County offers financial assistance to individuals and families

who might otherwise not be able to afford membership or program fees.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Giving back and supporting our neighbors is part of

what makes the Y the Y. We are a community and

we lend a hand where we can.

FOR A BETTER US

Every day, the YMCA of Snohomish County gives our

community the support it needs to learn, grow, and thrive.

From advocacy to food security, disease prevention to athletics,

football to dance classes, everything we do helps strengthen our

neighborhood and the people who live here.

But keeping our neighborhoods great is a full-time job. Every

day, our community faces new challenges that create a greater need

for the work we do. And we need your help to do it. Your gift can

help Snohomish County and everyone in it shine.

For a better you. For a better community. The Y.™ For a better

us.™ Learn more at ymca-snoco.org/ForABetterUs

the opportunity to select, plan, and lead meaningful community service

projects that benefit people and organizations right here in our

neighborhood. Contact Liane Ha'i at [email protected]!

VOLUNTEERISM & GIVING

VOLUNTEER, DONATE, ADVOCATE

Our movement is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of

life, all working side-by-side to ensure that everyone, regardless of

gender, income, or background, has the opportunity to live life to the

fullest. Financial assistance keeps the Y available for kids and families

who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and

community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more

healthy, confident, connected, and secure. When you give to the Y, your

gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own

neighborhood. The Y’s Financial Assistance Program is supported by

contributions to our Annual Campaign and United Way.

And finally, the Y could not survive without the dedication of our

volunteers. From youth tutors to committee members, teen mentors to

fundraisers, board members to fitness instructors, volunteers lend their

time, talents, and energy to help strengthen our community.

VOLUNTEERS OF THE Y

• Lead our Boards of Directors and branch committees.

• Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the

community through Annual Campaign.

• Motivate and support youth through coaching our sports teams and

teaching many of our classes.

• Extend a hand to help adults who want to do more, be more or live

healthier through healthy living programs.

• Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors

through food drives, community events and more!

If you would like to donate some of your time please pick up a volunteer

application. Volunteer opportunities and application can be found on

our website at ymca-snoco.org—just click on our Social Responsibility

link at the top of the page. Contact Liane Ha’i, Volunteer Coordinator,

at 360 804 2165 or [email protected].

YANKEE DOODLE DASH

In order to keep our runners and walkers safe, we need more than 100

volunteers to guard street intersections, give out water to passing

runners, collect chips at the finish line and direct runners on the course.

Volunteers are vital to the success of our dash and are the motivation

our runners need to get from start to finish.

Monday, July 4.
