Roach. r | Today's Pattern The question of a new high school for Schenectady -will be one of the principal interests of the Schenectady League of Women Voters for the. present year. The" subject will be introduced at the regular meeting-Wednesdav at 2:30 o'clock at the Y.W.C. A. . The league has been asked by the state and national leagues to work on a project and the question of the proposed lygh school has been chosen. . According, to the an- nouncement, the local league must have a definite opinion on this sub- ject, based Upon accurate informa- tion, both from the educational and financial viewpoints, before decid- ing for or against it. Mrs. Harold Larrabce, chairman of the committee on government and education, has prepared a list of questions which the members have been asked to think about, namely whether .the city should plan for a new high school; wheth- er the present facilities at Nott j Terrace and Vocational High j Schools are adequate; will the fall- ! ing birth rate remedy overcrowd- ing; should the Grand Boulevard section be considered for a site and how soon should the city finance a bond issue for a new school. Mrs. Bruce Buckland, chairman, will preside at the meeting. The program will include reports on the county convention program and on "Women Jurors in Sche- nectady," Mrs. Mat hi as Poersch, of the committee on government and legal status of women: "The Prob- lem of a New High School," 'Mrs. Larrabee: "The Constitutional Con- vention in Relation to the League of Women Voters Program,'' Mrs. Frank D. Barclay, committee on government and its operation, and "The United States Neutrality in the Far East," Mrs. J. Carey, com- cittee on government and foreign policy. After the meeting there will be a tea, to which candidates for political office have been in- vited. . Mrs. Albert N. Crouch is chairman for the tea. The chairman has appointed a committee to present names of delegates and alternates to repre- sent the Schenectady league at the convention. The names will be voted upon at' the meeting. The committee on nominations includes league's suggestions to the conven tion on the four principal ques- tions: Child Labor legislation, mandatory women juror laws, ad- dition of low-rent public housing to the., active program «nd in- creased league membership dues. ^.11 these questions will be debated at the meeting. | Today's Pattern

The question of a new high school for Schenectady -will be one of the principal interests of the Schenectady League of Women Voters for the . present year. The" subject will be introduced at the regular meeting-Wednesdav at 2:30 o'clock at the Y . W . C . A. . The league has been asked by the s ta te and national leagues to work on a project and the question of the proposed lygh school has been chosen. . According, to the an­nouncement, the local league must have a definite opinion on this sub­ject, based Upon accura te informa­tion, both from the educational and financial viewpoints, before decid­ing for or against it.

Mrs. Harold Larrabce, chai rman of the committee on government and education, has prepared a list of questions which the members have been asked to think about, namely whether . the city should plan for a new high school; wheth­er the present facilities a t Not t j Terrace and Vocational High j Schools are adequate; will the fall- ! ing bir th ra te remedy overcrowd­ing; should the Grand Boulevard section be considered for a site and how soon should the city finance a bond issue for a new school.

Mrs. Bruce Buckland, chairman, will preside at the meeting. The program will include reports on the county convention program and on "Women Jurors in Sche­nectady," Mrs. Mat hi as Poersch, of the committee on government and legal s ta tus of women: "The Prob­lem of a New High School," 'Mrs. Larrabee: "The Constitutional Con­vention in Relation to the League of Women Voters Program, ' ' Mrs. F r a n k D. Barclay, committee on government and its operation, and "The United States Neutral i ty in the F a r East," Mrs. J. Carey, com-cittee on government and foreign policy. After the meeting there will be a tea, to which candidates for political office have been in­vited. . Mrs. Albert N. Crouch is chairman for the tea.

The chairman has appointed a committee to present names of delegates and al ternates to repre­sent the Schenectady league at the convention. The names will be voted upon at' the meeting. The committee on nominations includes
