In conclusion, all people I asked to watch and listen to the 3 main products I created and fill out a questionnaire for feedback. The audience I asked range from 17-24 year olds this links to my target audience who I am aiming to attract. The first question asked the public would they be interested in watching the full documentary from seeing the first 5 minutes. The question was expanded to why they would be interested. Majority of the answers were that the bands and artists plus the music is very intriguing. This highlights that my documentary, radio advert and print advert would encourage and interest the audience to watch the full documentary on Channel 4.

For question 2, the audiences participated agreed that in their opinion they think that the documentary shown has similar varieties as professional documentaries. This suggests that from the editing, filming and creating the documentary we have followed the codes and conventions and creatively produced a professional documentary.

Question 3 explores the specific areas in which what the audience enjoy, these were entertainment, mise-en-scene, editing, continuity and professionalism. The highest that the audience enjoyed was the entertainment and the professionalism. This suggests that the entrainment value of the documentary is an advantage to what the theme and genre is displaying. The mise-en-scene, editing and continuity were still high scores which illustrates that the documentary was enjoyed by all aspects. This encourages the aim for the documentary to attract the target audience.

For this question, it analysed specifically the rates of what they found interesting. The rating was from 1 being good to 5 being awful, this is so that I can see what parts of the documentary could be improved and what works well. The feedback was given that the entertainment was mainly at 1 or 2, the mise-en-scene was 2, as well as the editing, the continuity was around 2-3 and the professionalism was at 1. This reinforces the improvements of the editing and continuity needs to be improved although from the entertainment and professionalism was very high which illustrates the good values of the documentary.

The feedback given from the radio advert was that they enjoyed listening and were interested in watching the documentary. The audience felt that the radio advert sounds intriguing and is very specific/entertaining to discover what the documentary is about. It also, gives enough information for the audience to let them know what the genre and the question the documentary is trying to solve.

All the people agreed that the radio advert shown to them has similar features as professional documentaries. This means that the radio advert links to the marketing and that people are interested in watching the documentary from listening to the radio advert.

Question 3 from the radio advert questionnaire feedback, asked the audience what aspects of the documentary did they enjoy. The feedback given was that the professionalism was the highest, this highlights that the radio meets the standards of other radio advert in the market place. This encourages the research and planning made from viewing other radio adverts to complete my own. However, the others were high scores which shows that the audience liked a lot of the aspects presented in the radio advert to engage and interest them to watch the documentary.

How would you rate the aspects of the radio advert, from 1 being good to 5 being awful? Question 4, involved the audience to rate the aspects of the radio advert of the editing, continuity, professionalism and sound bed. The results came to that the editing was mainly 2 as well as the continuity and sound bed. The professionalism was resulted between 1 and 2.

This highlights that the radio advert aspects are very high and that the overall view meets the conventions and the interest of the audience.

What are the strengths and weaknesses to our radio advert?

Strengths

Sound bed, the music links in with the theme and supports what the documentary is highlighting to the audience

editing of the radio advert encouraged the persuasion of the audience to watch the documentary. It also means that the radio advert was a success.

Weaknesses

The sound bed in some parts is not as loud or did not seem right

With this feedback, I know for sure that with the adjusting of the levels on the radio advert could prevent the different effects and make it more appealing.

All the audiences was attracted to the print advert, this refers to that this encourages the number of people watching the documentary. This connotes that the print advert has met the standards required and followed the conventions in order for the print advert to attract the target audience. Moreover, it gives promising results that the documentary will be a success.

Eye-catching Professionalism Editing Continuity

Question 3 highlights the audiences rates on the aspects the print advert offers. These include that majority of the audiences thought that the professionalism was hugely influenced in the print in which attracted the eyes of the audience. Although, the audience did include that the print advert was eye-catching and the editing produced was at a high standard which influenced their interest in what the documentary is all about. This means that the print advert was an success which is a huge advantage to the productions taken place to highlight an inspiring singer trying to make her way through the music industry.

All of the audiences agreed with the fact that the main image of the print advert works well with the documentary and radio advert. This is important for the print advert to link the documentary and the radio advert to send out information to the audience. The main image involves the main female singer who is trying to get herself noticed in the music industry. This is to reinforce the meanings of the documentary to highlight a further understanding for the audience to be interested in watching.

What are the strengths and weaknesses do you think of our Print Advert?

The strengths from the feedback received by the audience is that...

The main image captures the meaning and is interesting to view. The image is very professional and links to the theme and genre portrayed in the documentary and the background of the print advert.

Creativity and photography

Background of the stars works well and reinforces the ‘stars’ trying to make the music industry.

The font works well and fits in with the channel wanting to be placed on.

This illustrates the success of the print advert and how it has attracted in the ways to influence the audience to watch.

The weaknesses collected from the questionnaire are..

Background could be photographed not completed in Photoshop to gratify the extra effect.

With not having much weaknesses means that the print advert has turned out well. Although, with the background photo of taking a real photograph would not be as good as the produced ‘sky of stars’

From the audiences feedback, they agreed that the 3 products of the documentary, radio advert and print advert work well together. They explained that they influence a indie rock theme and give an impression of the music industry due to the interviews, the layouts of the presentation, images of the theme and the music/ voiceover created to portray this.
