Coated surfaces will neither ignite nor propagate fire. Electricalsparks & short circuits can thus be prevented from convertinginto fires and thereafter spreading along vertical & horizontalcable ways. Fire can thus both be kept restricted to its sourceas well as also prevented all together.

Meets German standard DIN 4102.

Uniquely tested & approved as a fire retardant cable coating for "Grouped electrical cables" by Factory Mutual (FM)USA.

Fiammadur® A77 Cable Coating meets Factory Mutual Approvalrequirement as per class 3971 for “Flame Retardant Coating for GroupElectric Cables.”

Passed flame test in an vertical exposure of 2 minutes. Flames didnot impinge or scorch the specimen above 5 inches (127 mm) fromthe flame and without degradation above 3 inches (76mm).

No. coating breakdown occurred when exposed to high voltage of1000 V for 1 minute before and after exposure to the fire.

A horizontal cable with A77 satisfied the Approval requirement thatleakage current shall not exceed 5.0 milliamperes when measuredbetween the conductor and the outer jacket during this high potentialtest of 1,000 volts.

A cable coated with A77 was subjected to saltwater test. There wasno disintegration or deterioration of the coating.

The cable sample then passed the fire tests and the applied highpotential test.
