Durst Prepare & Imaging Engine
Obtaining perfect static or variable label printing results in only a few steps requires an outstanding printing system such as the Tau 330 and optimized data preparation coupled with modern data management. Mapping an entire process, from data acceptance to finishing, at larger organizations can often become quite complex. Processes like this must be integrable into existing organisation structures or be able to stand alone decoupled from these structures. It must be possible for every user in the process chain to control these processes intuitively and in a comprehensible way using modern end devices such as personal computers with any operating system, tables and smartphones. Naturally, recurring procedures have to be mapped automatically in systems like this.
If you need a well-thought-out, modern solution for data storage, data preparation and the output of printing data for label printing and you may also want to acquire other processes with similar requirements for other market segments, you should take a look at Durst Prepare & Imaging Engine. It allows you to simplify complex processes in data preparation and to provide access to this process to different user groups very quickly. Complex processes can also be mapped in a simplified way!
The role of Durst‘s Prepare & Imaging Engine in this process is to ensure that: • Order data is managed as simply as possible and traceable information on the order is collected• The order‘s progress can be called up for the various operator groups at any time• Clear points of transfer over the entire process between customer account managers, pre-print technicians, printers and controlling personnel can be mapped• A printing data preflight takes place during the first stage to ensure that the printing system is up to the task of production• Readable preflight reports are available to the operator for communication with the customer• The preparation of printing data for printing can be mapped almost exclusively in an easy-to-use browser window• The data preparation for major changes can be mapped using specialized editors and the interfaces required for this are created

Automated entry
Detailed analysis
• Manual and automated entry of print orders• Quick entry for small print orders• Automatic execution of initial testing• Automatically generated readable error reports• Automatic calculation of ink costs for a design and order• Visualization of printing feasibility for special colors (ΔE94|ΔE00)• Setting and viewing status information of the order
• Automatic checking of technical printing aspects• Detailed checking of PDF data (with Acrobat Pro)• Execution of global corrections: size, fonts, colors, white and cut contour (in the browser)• Execution of simple corrections (using the Illustrator plug-in)• Execution of complex corrections (with Packz)• Addition of variable data (using a browser or Illustrator plug-in)• Automated expenditure logging• Approval of the printing order for production

Complex data correction
Prepare variable data
MIS
• All expenditures for the completed process steps are logged and provided for tracking and controlling purposes• Reprinting can be mapped at any time using logs, even if processes, materials or printer parameters have changed in the meantime• Commissioning of the system is reduced to a minimum, as all processes are mapped using a browser-based system• No noteworthy end device system requirements with regard to hardware and software are specified to the user (modern Internet browser)
• Even personalized printing (text, enumeration, images and bar codes) based on predefined data records or using intuitive input options can be created in a browser window• Order- and subject-based variable costs (ink and material consumption) are available after the printing data is entered in the Durst Prepare & Imaging Engine• A true-color representation of the printing results on the selected substrate can be achieved and the user is informed of any color deviations from the intended color values at all times• Ink consumption for the individual design can be controlled using intelligent color math without noticeable color differences• True-color output on different printing systems or lines of the same printer and across different substrates can be displayed without having to edit the printing data again• Material-filling compilation can be prepared in just a few steps and that recurring schemes or schemes based on existing stamping dies can be used with the design
qp-media
Controlling
• Creation of substrate profiles• Creation of production orders• Selection of the substrate and printer• Reduction of costs through intelligent profile selection• Creation of the compilation and setting of marks• Automated output for recurring jobs• Starting the rendering process• Automated expenditure logging
• Transfer of print parameters from print preparation
• Setting the printer preselection• Logging printing times• Automated expenditure entry (times, materials and inks)
• Evaluations for each order• Daily evaluations for each machine• Daily evaluations for each user• Monthly evaluations• Reading out of machine data
