Ecumenical Garage Sale:
Thanks to all of you for your support for the 5th Ecumenical Garage Sale held on September 17, 2016 in the St. Raphael's Cathedral Center. The donations from
the churches and so many others really packed the Cathedral Center. A generous organization donated
$500.00 and with the sale profits we have a grand total of $5,512.00 for Almost Home, a shelter for homeless
men at St. John Lutheran Church in Dubuque, Iowa. We were able to help several families with furniture and household items. Thanks to all who set up, donated,
purchased and helped clean up afterwards.

St. Mark is inviting community friends and businesses to join the effort again this year. Individuals and businesses will be paired with St Mark students and their siblings. Then these individuals, or Sponsor Angels, purchase the requested clothing items, and deliver them to St Mark Youth Enrichment offices located at 1201 Locust Street. This year we anticipate serving over 300 children. Last year we served 120. If you are interested in sponsoring one or more children, but do not have time to shop, we have shoppers available. The cost of one child is $75. Please feel free to make your financial contribution and our shoppers will select gifts for your child. The deadline to sign up as a sponsor is November 6th.
