Quick FactsLocationUMass Boston is located on Columbia Point and is just minutes from downtown Boston and Logan International Airport. Our scenic waterfront campus is adjacent to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate.

Parking and TransportationUMass Boston is easily accessible by public transportation. The university offers a free shuttle service between the campus and the MBTA Red Line JFK/UMass Boston station. For those who drive, there’s a free shuttle to and from our Bayside lot, which accommodates over 1,200 vehicles.

HighlightsUMass Boston offers meeting and event space for 10 to 650 participants to fit any budget. The majority of rooms offer state-of-the-art technology, including built-in audiovisual equipment, LCD projectors, plasma-screen TVs, teleconferencing, and high-speed wireless Internet access. Specialized audiovisual services are available from UMass Boston’s Video Production Center for an additional fee.

The Ballroom

The 8,100-square-foot ballroom located in our architecturally unique Campus Center features floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural sunlight. The ballroom can accommodate up to 450 guests for a plated banquet.

Whether you are looking for the perfect place for your company clambake or signature large-scale event, our outdoor spaces offer variety with panoramic views of Boston Harbor. We are excited to announce that construction of our new Campus Center lawn is underway and will be completed in late 2017.

Catering ServicesUMass Boston Catering is committed to making your event a success. Our team of catering professionals is available to assist you with planning every aspect of your event. We offer creative menus, elegant presentations, and thoughtful ser-vice to provide your guests with an exceptional experience. Our Presidential and Executive Catering Guide features local menu items created especially by our chefs that are sure to wow and excite your guests.

Every UMass Boston catered event is carefully planned and executed to minimize its impact on the environment. Our goal is to provide you with the freshest selection of local and sustainable ingredients, beautifully presented and delivered by our highly trained staff as we strive to exceed the expectations of each and every guest. When using disposable products, all items are either compostable or recyclable. Additionally, we work with Campus Kitchens at UMass Boston to donate any leftover food, as appropriate, to Boston-area food pantries and shelters. Food not able to be donated is composted.

We pride ourselves on being able to meet everyone’s cater-ing needs. In addition, as part of our commitment to health and wellness, our menus feature a wide variety of vegetar-ian, vegan, and gluten-free items. Kosher meals are also avail able upon request.
