PRACTISING On Wednesday October 17th afternoon (14:00 to 19:00h), it will be possible to practise on the 5 main courts in the hall Omnisport! Please make your reservation upon arriving at the reception desk.

Practising during the whole event will be in a side hall.

GENERAL The tournament will be played in accordance with the Laws of Badminton and the Competition regulations of the BWF. The tournament is also played according to the BEC Circuit Regulations in the event of any dispute, the Referee’s decision shall be final.

ELIGIBILITY Participation is open to players of any National Association recognized by the BWF.

ENTRIES Please use the online entry and no late entries will be accepted.

Closing date is 25 September 2012.

All entries must be made using the BWF Online Entry System: Entries must be submitted no later than Tuesday September 25th 2012 at 23:59 BWF HQ time (GMT +08:00). Players cannot be entered unless they already have a BWF ID-number. In case you wish to enter players who do not have a BWF ID-number, please contact the BWF office well in advance of the tournament, so that the players concerned can get a BWF ID before the closing date of the tournament.

Regulation 9.5 Players shall not plan their departure less than two (2) hours after their last match is planned to conclude. If a player is unable to compete due to early departure, he/she may be penalised by removal of ranking points and return of awarded prizes. BADMINTON EUROPE shall propose to BWF that the gained BWF ranking points are also removed.

ENTRY FEES Singles: EUR 35.00 / CHF 43.00 Doubles: EUR 30.00 / CHF 36.00 per participant / event

Entry fees for all players must be paid by the member association before October 4th. The invoice for all players will be sent to the teams by e-mail on 28th September 2012. If no payment has been received the invoice and original entry will be sent to BADMINTON EUROPE.

WITHDRAWALS Please ensure that the organizer is informed immediately when a player has to withdraw, together with the reason.

Attention: any withdrawal after October 7th 2012 (players being withdrawn on 7 October will not be penalized) for any reason renders the members association concerned liable to an amount of US$ 150 for the inconvenience caused by the withdrawal (as defined in the BWF General Competition Regulations).

Prizes will be paid in cash at the prize giving ceremonies. No taxes will be deducted.

TRANSPORT The official point of arrival is BELP-Bern airport.

Participants coming by flight should land in Belp-Bern, Geneva or Zürich.

Flights coming in to Zurich or Geneva should take the train to Yverdon. There are trains available almost every 30 minutes. Please consult www.cff.ch. The local meeting point is Yverdon-les-Bains train station.

Transport from and to Belp/Bern airport, as well as the shuttle service between the hotels, train station and the hall, will be provided by the organizer.

è Please advise the organizer about your arrival date, time, flight number and number of persons composing the team not later than the closing date (Sep. 25, 2012) otherwise the organizer can not guarantee for the pick-up!

PAYMENT The hotel rates should be paid not later than the closing date – otherwise we can not guarantee you any accommodation.

MEALS All warm meals could be taken at the hall.

STRINGING SERVICE Provide by YONEX

CLOTHING/ADVERTISING Clothing and advertising will be permitted in accordance with the regulations of the BWF. (Competition Regulations 19 to 23).

For International Challenge tournaments, the name on the back of the shirt is mandatory for all matches in the main draw.

It is mandatory for the semi-finals and finals that double partners wear the same color.

INSURANCE The organizer declines responsibility and covering of costs for possible injuries or other damages. It is up to each participant to insure himself.

MEDICAL SERVICE Samariter and physiotherapists will be present in the sports hall during the tournament.

DRUG TESTING According to Swiss Law Drug Testing may be carried out on a random basis at any time.

VISA All participants needing a visa should request for the letter of participation from the organizer by the 17th September 2012.

PRACTICE COURTS On Wednesday 17/10/2012 practice courts (5) are available in the main hall from 14:00h until 19:00h.

DRAW / SEEDING Will be done by Badminton Europe.

BEC CIRCUIT In 2012/2013, the Swiss International is the officially part of the BADMINTON EUROPE CIRCUIT 2012/2013 organised by Badminton Europe.
