Performing Arts at the Hudson River Music Hall, 10 Maple
Street, Hudson Falls, on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 7:30
p.m. This concert of love songs features singers Mckenzie
Bassett of Cambridge, Sylvia Bloom of Greenwich, Amy
Geiling of Schuylerville, Tiffany Maynard of South Glens
Falls, Jilian Reilly of Schuylerville and Dennis Petragnani of
Eaton Mountain. Mckenzie is a student at HVCC. She has
been performing with Con Brio for six years in theatrical
productions and concerts. Sylvia has studied voice at Oberlin
Conservatory, and has sung with the San Francisco Opera
Company. Amy is a veteran of Con Brio concerts, and is also
a stand-up comic, a cartoonist, and has performed with
Schuylerville Community Theatre (SCT). Tiffany, also a
veteran of Con Brio, studied voice at SUNY Fredonia. Jilian
is currently a voice student at the College of St. Rose, and
has also performed with SCT. This is Denniss first
performance with Con Brio. His credits include singing,
acting and dancing in a number of national tours of Broadway
shows. The repertoire for this concert will include songs
from the American Song Book, featuring composers such as
Henry Mancini, James van Heusen, George Gershwin, Irving
Berlin, Cole Porter and Richard Rogers. Douglas Bischoff,
artistic director will accompany the singers. Admission is
$12, with a $3 discount for seniors and students.

BEARD CONTEST- Participants in the 2013 Adirondack Donegal Beard Contest are shaving theirfacial hair in preparation for growing their Donegal Beards for this years contest to grow the bestIrish beard. New beardsman are welcome to take part in the event, which will be held in North Creekon St. Patricks Day and is free and open to the public.
