Nastar Optimization Case in BruneiBackground: Brunei is covered with dense vegetation and has a large population, which results in great difficulty in radio coverage. The investment is limited. The number of sites is insufficient. With poor coverage, the network also contains a great number of missing neighboring cells. The call drop rate ranges from 2% to 3%, which is quite high. The operators in Brunei have little wireless network operation experience. They are also lack of operation and maintenance engineers.
After the Nastar is used: The configuration of co-channel frequency neighboring cells is checked to one hundred percent. Therefore, the problem of missing neighboring cell configuration solved. The problem of high call drop rate is solved while the coverage rate and coverage quality are ensured. All the KPIs reach the requirements.
