Operation
Traffic Note
Low Level Wind Shear Alert System (LLWAS) in operation.
When ORL ILS RWY 07 and MCO ILS RWY 17, 18R simultaneous OPS are conducted, ATC radar required.
Runway Status Lights (RWSL)
In operation for following RWY:
- RWY 17R/35L: TWY F (east side), H1 and K.
- RWY 18L/36R: TWY B10, E, J and B1 (east side)
- RWY 18R/36L: TWY A1, A2, A3,B10,E and J.
The RWSL is a dynamic RWY occupancy status light systems, which is installed on test. The red REL
(Runway Entrance Lights), installed on TWYs, that are ON, indicate that the RWY ahead is not safe to enter
or cross. Red THLs (Take-off Hold Lights), installed on the RWY, indicate that the RWY is not safe for
TKOF. Red means stop! The system is not, at any time, intended to convey approval or CLR to proceed
onto a RWY or to TKOF from a RWY. The system operates independently of ATC. Transponders shall be
turned on while taxiing in the movement area so that beacon-based position and ACFT identification data
are AVBL to RWSL. Remain obligated to comply with all ATC CLR, EXC when compliance would require
crossing an illuminated red REL or THL. In such a case, Hold Short of the RWY for RELs or stop the ACFT
for THLs (if possible) and contact ATC.
Transponder OPS:
ASDE-X in use, operate transponder Mode C on all RWYs, TWYs
TWY Restrictions
TWY J3 and J4 MAX wingspan 36m / 118ft.
ACFT parked on AIRSIDE 2 centerline west of TWY G1 and/or south of TWY J3 between 0300-1200‡.
ACFT with wingspan above 65m / 213ft must use TWYs west of RWY 18L/36R except north of TWY A
which is restricted to wingspan below 52m / 171ft.
Noise Abatement Procedure
Unless conditions prevent usage (strong crosswind, tailwind, degraded braking, emergencies, etc.),
RWYs will be assigned according to following criteria:
1200-0400‡: South OPS are desired.
0400-1200‡: Expect RWY 35, 36L and 36R for LDG and RWY 17R, 18L and 18R for TKOF.
Warnings
Perform judgmental oversteering instead of cockpit CL steering when taxiing.
Use caution in vicinity of TWY A along west ramp.
RWY 17L/35R TDZL unlighted 0400-1100‡.
Birds in vicinity of AD.

KMCO is 6NM Southeast of Orlando.
Arrival:
When South operations are in effect, crews arriving from West, Northwest or Southwest can expect to be vectored North of the ORL VORTAC for a visual approach. Due to the close proximity of Orlando Executive to MCO you can expect this clearance: Maintain 3000ft until 5 miles North of Orlando VOR and to maintain 2500ft until over the VOR. This applies to a visual approach to both RWY 18L and 18R and you need to be properly configured and on speed. Takeoff Performance Calculations: -Generic takeoff data exists for this airport.
