IntercollegiateAthletics(ICA) ASU Intercollegiate Athletics oversees and manages all Sun Devil athletic programs at the university and has a proud tradition of athletic excellence. More than 500 ASU student athletes compete in 22 sport programs in the Pac-10 conference, arguably one of the country’s most competitive arenas. Sun Devil student athletes face strenuous academic and athletic requirements, balancing training and competition schedules while achieving outstanding results in the classroom. Thanks to the support of Sun Angel Foundation donors and alumni, ASU student athletes have risen to the challenge in the classroom and on the playing field.

• ASUAthleticsrecentlyfinishedin11thplaceoutof117divisionIteamsintheUnitedStatesSportsAcademyDirectorsCup,recognizingtheoverallperformancesofathleticdepartmentsacrossthenation.

• Forthepastfouryears,ASUhasbeeninthetopsevennationallyandnumberoneinthePac‐10formostAcademicAll‐Americans,with12studentathletesearningAcademicAll‐Americanstatusthispastyear.

• SunDevilstudentathletesprovidedover1,300hoursofcommunityservice,reachingmorethan40,000peopleinTempeandsurroundingcommunity.

In addition to the national championship titles and Pac-10 conference success, ASU has also received national attention through the development of the Scholar-Baller program, becoming the first athletic department in the nation to recognize student athletes with a patch on their jersey for academic success.
