The Autoscript Executive systems have been designedwith knowledge gained within rental divisions over thelast 25 years. The Rise & Fall Motorised Robotic Standsoffer the ability to adjust the height of the standsautomatically. This can be performed by eitherprogramming the stands or using the Autoscript WinPlusConference software. The Rise & Fall stand offers theflexibility for all variations and scenarios when used atawards ceremonies, conferences and presentations.Stand position control data is transmitted via BNC 75Ohm cable. Prompter video can be shared via an on-board video distribution amplifier with termination.

Conference Plus Robotic stand controller software

The Conference Plus software can control up to eightstands. It has an intuitive ‘drag and drop’ interface withgraphical representations of the available connectedstands. The settings for each of the stand heights canbe saved in a database which can contain up to 500speaker positions.

When integrated with WinPlus, marker triggers cansimply be dragged into the script from the ConferencePlus database; the stands will then automatically moveto the desired position when this marker is scrolledover. No additional control is required, the operator canconcentrate on prompting the script while the Standsmanage themselves.

A running order of speakers can also be constructedusing saved information from the database.

The Conference Plus package includes the ConferencePlus software, Coax-USB converter box and USB Cable.

Much of Autoscript’s advanced technology focusses on optimising the operator experience,empowering them with the control and confidence necessary to give a compelling andauthoritative performance.

The Smart Combiner Box-2 provides the ultimate forplug-and-play of multiple prompter controllers.It addresses the needs for complex studioenvironments with broad ranging production needs forscroll control and more streamlined studios where on-airtalent are required to control the prompter.

Up to six scroll controllers can be connected and active at anytime. If more controllers are required, additional SCB-2 units(Smart Combiner Box-2) can looped from the first SCB-2 toexpand the number of scroll controllers further. With its built-inintelligence the SCB-2 seamlessly changes prompt control from onecontroller to another based on the last controller unit used.

Controllers can be located up to 300 metres away from the SmartCombiner Box-2. It supports the use of HC-1 optical desktopcontroller, Magno Foot Control (wired and wireless), RAT WirelessScroll Control and VoicePlus voice activated prompter.

A wireless version of the Smart Combiner Box, designed to address thegrowing usage of multiple wireless foot and hand controllers operating inthe same studio environment.

The SCB-W allows up to five separate wireless controllers to be used in a single studio.Additional SCB-W units can be integrated to increase this capacity: two channel setsallowing ten channels to be used with two linked units. This feature provides the flexibility ofhaving multiple wireless foot controllers and/or wireless hand controllers in the same studio.

From the world of advanced automotive engineering comes yet anotherinnovation from Autoscript. Known as frictionless magnetic technology,it employs a Hall effect encoder to provide a smooth and sensitiveresponse to gentle foot pressure, giving the talent easy and instinctivecontrol over their own prompting. Autoscript has now integratedfrictionless magnetic technology into its new Magno Foot Control andcompanion Desk Pad, both of which provide an ultra-responsive userinterface for control of prompting systems.

The repeated pushing and twisting action normally applied tomechanical foot controllers inevitably weakens the tension springsused in these devices over time. With Autoscript’s magnet-baseddesign however, there is no spring to weaken or break. In fact theMagno Foot Control is virtually 100% service-free.

Using intuitive desk pad keys while connected directly with the WinPlusprompter software, the presenter can immediately assign specificcontrollers, view which ones are live, personalise them, and enable ordisable them. Whether seated or in a standing position, presenters canuse the Magno Foot Control and companion Desk Pad with equal ease.

Unlike less precise technologies, the Magno interfaces with broadcaststandard coax, enabling a hassle-free connection to the studio’s matrixfor swift, practical set-up and reassuring reliability. The Magno alsooffers a longer life span than conventional technology.

The Magno Foot Control features environmentally sealed speed controlelements that have no moving contacts – good for more than 10million actuations – proven Autoscript Control Net technology, very lowpower consumption and rugged all-steel case construction.

The Wireless Magno Foot Control simplifies the installation of scriptcontrollers into studio environments without the need to runspecialised cabling onto the studio set, and can be added seamlesslyto existing Autoscript installations. The ClockPlus is an LED SMPTE/EBU timecode display which has the added featureof changing colour from green to red when a suitable Tally input is applied. The clockface has 2.25" tall digits that display HH:MM:SS A/P in 12 hour mode or HH:MM:SS in24 hour mode. The timecode input is taken from either VITC embedded in the videoinput or from LTC. When a timecode source is connected, the clock will instantly setitself to the input time. If the timecode source is removed the display will continue toupdate the time under control of an internal crystal oscillator.

ClockPlusA more intelligent timecode display

The new Autoscript CountPlus is a timecode generator, timecode inserterand up/down count generator designed for use in conjunction withAutoscript’s ClockPlus timecode display. The CountPlus unit embedsSMPTE/EBU Vertical Interval Timecode (VITC) into the NTSC or PAL promptvideo and provides two video outputs which can be distributed to all theprompt monitors and ClockPlus units in a studio. The CountPlus will eitherinsert VITC that is fed into the LTC input of the unit or it will generate its owncount (either a count-up or a countdown). The user can preset and store tendifferent combinations of start and stop times. There is also a GPI input onthe back which allows the START/STOP function to be triggered remotely.

Based on our successful XBox USB external boxsolution for prompting, the XBox Ultra providesenhanced features and capabilities making iteven more ideal, especially for portableprompting. Just plug into a laptop or PC via theUSB interface. The video output is standardcomposite PAL or NTSC and is compatible withall our on-camera units. It runs with exactly thesame WinPlus versions that run with the PCIPrompt Card, no additional operator training willbe required.

WinPlus X-Lite is an entry level promptingsystem. We have reduced compatibility issues,by handling the scan conversion with our ownhardware. The X-Lite also includes the newWinPlus smooth scroll circuitry found in ourpremium products.

TallyPlus is a unique camera number system. Alarge LED indicator displays the number in green(1-9) while in standby, then turns red when thecamera is live. Switching from green to red isachieved by a photo electric cell that can beattached to the camera tally light. TallyPlusretrofits to the whole range of Autoscript TFTsand has the unique feature of a second photoelectric cell built into the rear of TallyPlus thatdocks with cue light on the TFT.

The CuePlus is a tally accessory that providesboth a selectable colour range and multiplecolour states. These features provide a solutionfor studios where there is a need to display notonly the ‘on-air’ and ‘off-air’ state of anycamera, but to also pre-tally the camera beingcued next.
