We are pleased to present the OCMF for 2021
and it is in fact our inaugural festival considering
2020 did not go how anyone planned. The world
has changed a lot in the last 12 months but we
look forward to bringing a festival that celebrates
the talents of musicians in a regional environment.
That we have a lot of these artists that live locally
and participate in the local community in so many
ways shows how important it is to the local
region. Orange has always been a place that has
encouraged artists of various forms – from chefs,
winemakers, visual, music and all others. It will
continue to do that going forward as we are such
a vibrant community and I am sure they will enjoy
being a part of what we have to offer for OCMF
2021.
I would also like to thank all of our committee for
all of the work they have done to make this
festival a success. I would also like to thank all of
our sponsors and private supporters as this would
not be able to go ahead without their support. We
hope that you enjoy the festival and we look
forward to seeing you in the coming years.
Tom Ward
Chairman
OCMF 2021
On behalf of the founding artistic committee, a
heartfelt welcome to all our guests, and thank you
for choosing us in 2021. After the challenges that
led to the postponement of our inaugural Festival
in 2020, we are truly committed to deliver a
Festival that showcases not only our artists and
local talent, but the fascinating hospitality network
of Orange, its vibrant food, wine and cultural
scene, of which we are so proud to be part of.
OCMF was born in 2019, when we made a
lifechanging move to this wonderful part of the
world. As professional musicians and art workers it
was only natural to pursue opportunities to
contribute to our new community, and with the
support and trust of some incredible locals, we are
set up to successfully launch this initiative to the
Australian public.
Without the contribution of key individuals,
organisations and businesses we would not be
able to present a Festival that highlights the best
assets of the region, now paired with chamber
music of the highest calibre, all within the already
developed cultural scene of Orange.
Finally, I would like to personally thank our resident
artists and ensembles, colleagues, guests and
associate artists, that generously contributed in so
many ways to create this Festival.
We look forward to the next four days, and we
hope that you enjoy the carefully crafted
programs, venues and the artistry of all these
incredible musicians.
