Question Paper Pattern for the Theory Examinations with subject code DC 02, DC 03 and DC 05 with 50 markseach, (ie. MS Office and Internet, Linux and Open Office and Malayalam Computing)

(Duration of each examination shall be 1 hour).Part I Multiple choice questions - 20 questions of 1 mark each 20 MarksPart II Fill in the blanks – 10 questions of 1 marks each 10 MarksPart III Write Short Answers (in two or three sentences) 5 questions of 2 marks each 10 MarksPart IV Answer any 2 questions from a set of THREE. 5 marks each 10 Marks

TOTAL 50 Marks

For the Theory Examinations with 100 marks, ie. DC 01 and DC 04 (Informatics and PC Techniques)(Duration of each examination shall be 2 hours)Part I Multiple choice questions - 40 questions of 1 mark each 40 MarksPart II Fill in the blanks – 20 questions of 1 marks each 20 MarksPart III Write Short Answers (in two or three sentences) 10 questions of 2 marks each 20 MarksPart IV Answer any 4 questions from a set of SIX. 5 marks each 20 Marks

For the Practical Examinations with 50 marks each, ie. DC 02,DC 03 and DC 05 (MS Office and Internet, Linux andOpen Office and Malayalam Computing) (Duration of each exam shall be 1 hour).

Two questions from each subject are expected to be completed within 1 hour.Procedure - 5 MarksResult/Output - 15 MarksViva voce - 5 Marks X 2 Questions = 50 MarksTotal - 25 MarksInternal Marks

Minimum mark required for a pass in theory and practical examination is 35% marks in each subject.There will be a grading system for passed candidates as detailed below:

35 to 50% C51 to 65 % B66 to 80% B+81 to 90% A91 to 100% A+

The total marks obtained in theory and practical examination shall be counted for the grading system.

DCA - summary Report Diploma course in computer application (DCA) is held at Nirmala college sub center. The duration of the programme is 6 months (180 hrs). The course is introduced in the college in 2015.

2015-16

In this academic year 33 students enrolled for the course. The course started on 26/11/2015 and the class finished on 16/2/2016. The examination was conducted by the State Resource Centre, Kerala. All the 33 students who appeared for the examination were passed.

2016-17

In this academic year 22 students enrolled for the course. The course started on 16/12/2016 and the class finished on 02/03/2017. The examination conducted by the State Resource Centre, Kerala. All the 22 students appeared for the exam and they all passed.

2017-18

In this academic year 15 students enrolled for the course. The course started on 15/12/2017 and the class finished on 06/03/2018. The online examination was conducted by the State Resource Centre, Kerala. All the 15 students who appeared for the examination were passed.

2018-19

In this academic year 19 students enrolled for the course. The course started on 13/12/2018 and the class finished on 07/03/2019. The online examination was conducted by the State Resource Centre, Kerala. All the 19 students who appeared for the examination were passed.
