Economic geology

Economic geology is the study of fuels, metals, and other materials from the earth that are of interest to industry or the economy in general.

geology ٥

Geo Chemistry

Geochemistry is the science that uses the tools and principles of chemistry to explain the mechanisms behind major geological systems such as the Earth's crust and its oceans

geology ٦

Mineralogy

Mineralogy is a subset of geology specializing in the scientific study of crystal structure, and physical (including optical) properties of minerals. Specific studies within mineralogy include the processes of mineral origin and formation, classification of minerals, their geographical distribution, as well as their utilization.

geology ٧

GeophysicsGeophysics deals the study of the Earth using quantitative physical methods.

geology ٨

Petrology is the branch of geology that studies the origin, composition, distribution and structure of rocks.

Structural geology

Structural geology is the study of the three-dimensional distribution of rocks units with respect to their deformational histories. The primary goal of structural geology is to use measurements of present-day rocks geometries to uncover information about the history of deformation in the rocks, and ultimately, to understand the stress field that resulted in the observed strain and geometries.

conclusion

Economic geology is studied and practiced by geologists. However it is of prime interest to investment bankers, stock analysts and other professions such as engineers, environmental scientists, and conservationists because of the far-reaching impact that extractive industries have on society, the economy, and the environment.
