NAV, Displays2go continues to benefit from utilizing a leading ERP platform to run
the business. Displays2go implemented Dynamics NAV as part of a multi-year digital
transformation strategy. The new ERP system created a solid foundation to support
the continued transformation of the business while simultaneously supporting the
company’s growth. “We’ve advanced well beyond learning how to use the system to
now fully leveraging the information in Dynamics NAV to transform how we run the
business,” says Erol Fikri, Director of Supply Chain and Logistics.
IMPROVING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TO GAIN NEW INSIGHTSSince the initial implementation, Displays2go has integrated Dynamics NAV with
Microsoft Power BI. The analytical tool enables managers to extract information to
forecast customer demand. This helps the company to make sure that it keeps the right
amount of inventory in stock—not too much and not too little.
“Gaining this capability is key because providing a wide variety of quick ship items
is at the core of our mission to connect people and brands,” says Lenny Volynsky, the
Business Systems Manager for Displays2go. “Pre-stocking the right amount of inventory
is critical in making sure we close on sales during the key buying moment, which is
fleeting when customers are online. They are likely to look elsewhere if you don’t have
the products they want on-hand.”
EXPANDING SALES WITHOUT INCREASING RESOURCESDisplays2go decided to deploy Dynamics NAV as the company was rapidly growing.
With a powerful ERP platform to run finances and process orders as well as to streamline
customer service, the supply chain, production, and distribution, the company has
expanded its sales volume without significantly adding to the headcount.
“We now have an ERP platform that will support our growth,” says Volynsky. “Western
Computer and Dynamics NAV have helped us improve business processes so we can
more easily increase production and revenue while limiting the number of people we
need to add to support that growth.”

SINGLE SOURCE OF DATA DRIVES SMOOTH BUSINESS PROCESSESAnother key payoff comes from having a single source of data to refer to as
everyone in the company performs their jobs. Previously, systems were not
connected, and the Displays2go staff had to reconcile spreadsheets often.
“But with everyone now looking at the same numbers and reports
generated from Dynamics NAV data, we don’t waste time fulfilling orders
or forecasting future needs based on outdated information,” Fikri says.
“Everyone in the company can see what other departments are doing and
the business orders we are processing for each customer. That helps us get
things right so that the business continues to function smoothly.”
COLLABORATING WITH A PARTNER TO GUIDE THE WAYWestern Computer continues to help Displays2go to expand its use of Dynamics
NAV as an electronic data interchange (EDI) connection has been established
with freight carriers to upload invoices electronically, rather than Displays2go
having to key them in. “This is a great example of how Western Computer
collaborates closely with us to help discover new ways to run our business more
effectively,” Volynsky says. “We plan to set up EDI with more of our vendors,
and we’re now implementing optical character recognition (OCR) software to
improve warehouse workflows. It’s great to have a partner like Western Computer
by our side to guide us along the way as we deploy new technologies.”
