Fantastic FestivalsDerby has a packed calendar of events and activities all year round including a number of festivals which attract visitors from all over the world.
The Olympic Torch Relay Weekend is a highlight for 2012 and an exciting line-up is planned for 29-30 June.

Olympic Torch Lights Up DerbyFriday 29 – Saturday 30 June 2012
Derby will take centre stage with a spectacular weekend of celebrations, putting us fi rmly on the world map. The torch will be arriving in Derby Market Place on the evening of Friday 29 June before moving on to Darley Park where the Celebration Cauldron will be lit followed by an exhilarating ceremony and stage show, which will be broadcast live on the BBC.
Derby’s party celebrations will continue over the weekend, including the famous Darley Park Classical Concert and Firework Display on the evening of Saturday 30 June.
