The ultimate solution will consist of these components: Business users model workflows in Visio Visio diagrams imported SharePoint Designer Forms to capture user information InfoPath SharePoint Designer Rules Applied Workflow Published to SharePoint 2010 Form is taken through Workflow Digital Signatures are captured No Code SharePoint 2010 Form Library 1. Create Form Library (site actions -> More Options ->Form Library) InfoPath 2010 Designer 1. Show Excel Spreadsheet first 2. Show InfoPath form 3. Web services we use to determine reporting structure 4. Show preview of form, required fields and reporting structure 5. Publish form with full trust. Why? So we can run code and call web services. (File->Form Options) 6. Give it unique name! 7. Make sure to publish to new Form Library! – Data Connections Main Submit 8. Upload form and activate form. 9. SharePoint 2010 Form Library1. Create Form Library (site actions -> More Options ->Form Library)

form template.e. 5.Click the Verify button to verify that the form template has no errors. This step is

optional.f. 6.Click the Upload button to upload the form template to the site. After uploading is

finished, click the OK button.10. Attach to the form library as a new content type.11. Show Site Columns and discuss why publishing them

3. Connect all with the connector tool4. Add decisions to each branch that needs them.5. Validate your workflow (Process->Check workflow)

SharePoint 2010 Designer1. Open the site where our form is2. Click Workflows -> Import from Visio3. Import workflow4. Name the workflow5. Email submitter (User who created current item)

a. Subject: “Request Received”b. Body: “We received your request ‘Title’ and we are currently processing it.”

6. Configure Requisition Total rule. (IS Requisition Total field > 10000)7. Email Submitter

a. Requested Amount More than $10,000b. Body: “Your request was more than $10,000. Please use Manager approval

process.”

8. Set workflow status to “Requested Limit Exceeded”9. Set the message to: “The requested limit is more than $10,000. Manager workflow should be

used instead.”10. Send email to Supervisor -> Workflow Lookup for a User.

a. Subject: “New IS Requisition Request”b. Body: “Please review new IS Requisition from “Current Item Created By”. Please click

here to review the request.” Here should be “Current Item Encoded Absolute URL”.11. Wait for IS Supervisor Reviewed to “Yes”12. Did Supervisor Approve “IS Supervisor Approval” = “Yes”

13. Set workflow status to “Approved”14. Send email to submitter

a. Subject: “Request Approved!”b. Body: “Your request ‘Title’ was approved by your supervisor!”

15. Set workflow status to “Rejected”16. Send email to submitter

a. Subject: “Your Request was Denied”b. Body: “Sorry, your request ‘title’ was denied by your Supervisor.”

17. Publish Workflow.

SharePoint Form Library1. Make sure to login to the Form Library as a valid user!2. Submit a form.3. Workflow should now show in Form Library workflow settings.4. Start workflow on existing item.5. Show the Workflow History.6. Show emails generated.7. Open the form and set me as Steve.8. Approve the Request.9. Show workflow approved!

SharePoint Designer1. Turn on Visualization and Automatically Start Workflow. (Workflow Settings)2. Publish workflow.3. Submit new form.4. Now click In Progress and show visualization!
