x Important reminders to S6 graduates

Extension of consultation services

With the assistance from team members and teaching assistant, CGT kept on providing

personal Q&A form for S5 and S6 students. After they received students’ question form, they collected relevant information and replied the students through email. This

developed a more effective way in catering students’ needs.

Sharing with parents

To emphasize the importance of parents’ involvement in the life planning process, CGT

had provided consultation services during 1st parents’ night, PTI day as well as 2nd

parents’ night. In order to take care of students with special needs, CGT interviewed all

parents of these students. Caritas had also provided consultation sessions for parents to

help them better understood the performance of their children during the life planning

education activities.

Sharing with teachers

CGT members tried to take a more active role in sharing career related information with

S6 class teachers. Different career members were in charge of the LPE lessons of

different form as most of them were class teachers in various form as well.

Careers and Study Team Homepage

In order to let students to get information in the handy ways, our teaching assistant keep

on updating our homepage which includes the links and messages suitable to our NCS

students (see school homepage).

CGT members took active roles in various career activities and developed strong partner

relationship with different NGOs, organizations, companies and government

departments. As a result, CGT grasped plenty of opportunities for our students to broaden

their horizon and paired up with their lifelong mentors.

Sharing sessions by dedicated alumni were arranged for students more frequently. Their

valuable experience in workplace or university was important reference for our students.

Through the continuous collaboration with the Form Committee, teachers had better

understanding about the aim and concepts of Career and Life Planning Education.

From the statistics of different surveys, most of the students gave positive and

encouraging feedbacks to the LPE lessons and the activities arranged by our Career

Guidance Team.
