County Collection Process

Board of County Commissioners: Minutes of public meetings must be

published in a legal newspaper Minutes contain all actions taken on the

posted agenda which are mostly routine business items.

The cost to Oklahoma County of publishing BOCC minutes averages $40,000 per year.

Type 2: Meeting Minutes and Notices

Minutes were 82 pages containing 28,749 words. 77 pages dealt with inventory—disposing

of antiquated equipment or transferring equipment between County departments.

Example: “One (1) Craftsman Table Saw, C/N B425-00002, S/N 89298P1051, model no. 29884, acquired March 9, 1990, from Sears MWC OK, for $499.88.

The cost to Oklahoma County for publishing the minutes to this meeting was $4,312.35.
