Our Products Alliant Systems offers a full-featured suite of products for Textile Rental operators. The Alliant suite

integrates operations in the front office with the production floor, stockroom and route. Offerings

include:

Alliant Route Accounting 2.0 Alliant Route Accounting sets the textile rental industry standard for billing, A/R, route

management and production reporting. Textile Rental managers can maximize their revenue

by accurately invoicing their customers for services provided. Powerful revenue-generating

features such as restocking fees, ancillary charges and insurance programs were designed

with the assistance of industry operators. ARA 2.0 was developed entirely using Microsoft’s

.NET development toolset utilizing a SQL database engine.

Alliant Mobile 2.0 Alliant Mobile allows you to deliver and mange your invoices more effectively and

efficiently. Arm your route service representatives with the tools to succeed on the route

and let them do the job you hired them to do – servicing your customers instead of wasting

time making manual adjustments, calculations, and producing unmanageable paper trails. In

addition, Alliant Mobile will capture and store the customer's signature at the point of

delivery. The signed invoice can then be reproduced (printed, faxed, emailed) at a later

date for the customer – eliminating the manual task of sorting, filing, and retrieving invoice

copies for customers.

Alliant Stockroom Alliant Stockroom is the key to integrating a textile rental company's front office with the

stockroom. Activity keyed in the office automatically generates all of the documents

required to fill orders with no additional keystrokes - such as work orders, garment pick

lists, emblem pick lists and man readable tapes. In addition, Alliant Stockroom can be

configured to track individual garments with bar-code labels and/or RF chips to provide a

higher level of tracking for customers.

Alliant Online Alliant Online gives textile rental customers the ability to view their signed invoices and

statements on your website. This exciting product saves time in the office, improves service

and the image of your operation. Customers can not only view all of their invoice history,

but also submit common service requests such as a size change or requesting service on a

new item. Alliant Web can be utilized by both your textile rental customers as well as

internal employees.

Alliant Route Accounting o Increasing Revenues

Alliant Route Accounting’s revenue generating features are more powerful than any

other system on the market. For example:

Insurance Programs

Insurance programs are quickly becoming standard in the Textile Rental Industry. Insurance

programs replace periodic large abuse charges with smaller and consistent insurance charges on

each invoice. Insured customers are subsequently not billed for abuse. Alliant Systems’ customers

are increasing revenues with this feature, and receiving less resistance from their customers at the

same time since insurance charges are collected more consistently than large abuse charges.

• Loss Insurance • Damage & Abuse Insurance • New Garment Program

Restocking Fees

Alliant Route Accounting has the ability to charge customers a restocking fee based on user-defined

transactions. For example, you may wish to charge $1.00 for each garment returned by a wearer

within the first six months of a new contract. Let Alliant Route Accounting automatically track and

invoice these charges for you.

Ancillary Charges

Alliant Route Accounting has the most comprehensive ancillary charge system of any route

accounting product in the industry. This powerful, revenue-generating tool allows you to invoice any

charge to the customer automatically based on user-defined transactions. For example, when you

initially set up the account, you create a set of rules for that account for ancillary charges such as

preparation fees, setup fees, emblem charges, repair/mending charges, logo mat artwork charges,

special napery fees, and so on. The list can be endless. Once the basic rules are set up for an

account, the charges will automatically be invoiced in the normal course of route accounting. No

one has to remember that a specific account gets a specific emblem and is charged a specific price

for it. That’s office automation!

Page 11: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Price Change Utilities

Alliant Route Accounting has numerous tools for revenue generation. For example, an integrated

price change utility allows users to quickly target and implement system-wide price changes. Simply

select an item and go. Some common examples:

• Your cost for red napkins has increased by $.04 per napkin. You want to pass this cost on to

your customers. The price change utility allows you to increase the unit rental price for all

customers that receive red napkins.

• You want to increase the price of red napkins by $.04, but only for customers that currently

are paying a rental price of $.11.

• You want to increase the rental price of red napkins for all customers by 5%.

• You want to increase the price of red napkins by 5% for a specific route.

• You want to increase the price of red napkins by 5% for a specific customer.

• You want to increase the minimum usage requirement for customers that receive red

napkins from 40% to 45%.

All of these tasks can be completed in just a few seconds with Alliant Route Accounting’s price

change utility. In addition, the utility produces a price change log prior to making the changes final,

allowing you to review the impact of the price change prior to actually making the change final.

New Feature! New utilities allow users to globally sweep through the system and change lost and abused replacement prices by customer.

Unpaid COD Charges

Unpaid COD invoices are common in the Textile Rental industry. Alliant Route Accounting has the

capability of automatically adding a service fee for every unpaid COD invoice.

Mending Charges

With Alliant Stockroom, users have the capability to invoice for mending that occurs in the plant.

These charges are automatically invoiced as mending personnel scan garments. Users not using the

Stockroom module can still have mending charges appear on the customer’s invoice. Even if you

choose not to charge your customer for mends, it’s always a good idea to have the mend appear on

the invoice so the customer is aware that the service was provided.

Page 12: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Route Accounting o Flexible Delivery Frequencies

Alliant Route Accounting offers flexible delivery options and is based on the

following delivery calendar:

Delivery Calendar The Delivery Calendar can be viewed on screen or printed for any year.

The following delivery frequencies are available:

• Daily

• Weekly

• Every Other Week

• Monthly

• Multiple Times Per Week

• First Delivery of the Month

• Every Eight Weeks (New Feature!) • Every twelve Weeks (New Feature!)

Page 13: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Route Accounting o Powerful Pricing Techniques

While delivery frequencies instruct the system on how often a customer (or a

customer’s item) receives delivery, price types instruct the system on how to

determine the billing produced on the invoice. For example, uniform billing is

typically flat-rated (regardless of what the customer turns in for laundering). Flat

good items, however, such as table linens, are typically billed based on usage.

Price Types The following price types are available:

• Unit Price times Soil Count (unless a minimum % exists)

• Unit Price times Soil Count (unless a minimum $ amount exists)

• Unit Price times Soil Count plus Inventory Quantity times Flat/Minimum

• Unit Price times Soil Count, but minimum % applies to Soil Counts for entire week

• Flat Rate Charge – Soil Count prints on invoice

• Flat Rate Charge – Auto Count prints on invoice

• Flat Rate Charge plus Soil Count minus Auto Count times Unit Price

• Unit Price times Auto Count – Soil Count prints on invoice

• Unit Price times the greater of Auto Count or Soil Count

• Auto Count times Unit Price (One Time Charge)

• Direct Sale/Laundering Fee

• Soil Count times Unit Price plus Soil Count times Lost Replacement Charge (This price type

is great for customers want a fixed delivery quantity each week regardless of the soil they

turn in).

• On-demand pricing – set a target shelf quantity and fill to the target at each delivery. Each

delivery day can have a different target quantity and unit price. This is perfect for

demanding hospitality accounts that are busy on the weekend but slow during the week.

Alliant Route Accounting o Time Saving Features

Fax or Email Invoices/Statements from your desktop!

Why take the time and trouble to go to the filing cabinet to locate an invoice or

statement copy and then manually fax or mail it to the customer when you can just

as easily locate and send the information to your customer directly from your

desktop. Alliant Route Accounting allows users to send one-time or broadcast

fax/emails to your customers.

Page 15: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Customer Copy Feature Set up Multiple Delivery Accounts Quickly

New accounts that have multiple delivery locations can be tedious to key into most route accounting

systems. Not with Alliant Route Accounting! Simply use the copy feature to eliminate most of the

keying. First, locate the account you want to copy. Customer lookup is quick and easy with several

search criteria available.

When adding the new delivery location, simply use the ‘Copy from Account’ feature.

Once you’ve copied the account, all you have to do is enter the specific information for the new

delivery location such as delivery address, contact and fax/phone numbers!

Page 18: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Item Copy Feature Set up new wearers quickly

Signing up new business is great! However, entering that information into most route accounting

systems can be time consuming, especially when setting up large industrial accounts. Alliant Route

Accounting streamlines this task with a copy feature. Simply select an existing wearer on the

account and press the copy button.

With the copy feature, only basic information about the new wearer is required. All other

information such as pricing types, delivery frequency, and flat-rate price is copied from an existing

wearer.

Page 19: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Quick Style Changes Quick and Easy Style Changes

The ability to meet customer demands is an important factor of success for Textile Rental operators.

Alliant Route Accounting is designed to specifically meet those demands.

For example, a customer contacts you and wants to change from red napkins to white napkins.

Rather than stopping the old item and setting up a completely new item (a time consuming data

entry process), Alliant Route Accounting can accommodate this request in a few simple steps. First,

select the ‘Exchange’ button and select ‘Style Change.’

Enter the new item number, size (if applicable) and inventory quantity of the new item.

The style is immediately executed. The old item has been stopped and the new item will now

appear on the next invoice. The system will track and automatically invoice for any red napkins not

returned by the customer.

Page 20: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Quick Size Changes Quick and Easy Size Changes

Large industrial accounts require continual maintenance. Alliant Route Accounting makes tasks such

as size changes simple. First, select the exchange button.

Next, select the new size from the pop-up window.

The size change has been completed quickly. The old size has been stopped and the new size will

now appear on the next invoice. The system will track and automatically invoice for any of the old

size not returned by the customer.

Page 21: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Route Accounting o Powerful Management Reports

Several sales reporting tools are available for users to analyze performance. The

Business Report provides a daily breakdown of sales by route and sales class. The

report can be generated for any range of dates, routes and customers.

Page 22: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Mobile Alliant Mobile allows you to deliver and mange your invoices more effectively and efficiently. Arm

your route service representatives with the tools to succeed on the route and let them do the job

you hired them to do – servicing your customers instead of wasting time making manual adjustments,

calculations, and producing unmanageable paper trails. In addition, Alliant Mobile will capture and

store the customer's signature at the point of delivery. The signed invoice can then be reproduced

(printed, faxed, emailed) at a later date for the customer.

Alliant Mobile o The Benefits of Mobile Computing

1. Elimination of pre-printed multi-part invoice forms Alliant Mobile is designed to eliminate the use of costly forms on the route. Invoice copies

can be printed on 8 ½ X 11 plain paper for those routes and/or customers that require an

invoice copy at the point of transaction.

2. Time Saved on the Route

Deliveries are quicker as Alliant Route Accounting simplifies transactions with simple and

accurate adjustments. Adjustments are calculated properly, sales tax is calculated properly

and business rules such as price types and minimums are enforced.

3. Time Saved during Route Check-in/Settlement

Much of the time currently spent during the route check-in process is eliminated. On

average, the time spent downloading route information is less than three minutes. At that

time, a detailed accounting of the entire route is available that includes all adjustments

and a cash collection report. In addition, the system generates a report that displays the

route delivery sequence and the elapsed time that between each delivery.

4. Time Saved in the Office

Since invoice adjustments are made on the handheld while on the route, they no longer

have to be duplicated in the office. Since signed invoice copies are stored on the server,

invoice filing duties are eliminated. In addition, when customers require copies of signed

invoices, they can be printed/faxed or emailed directly from the desktop, eliminating the

need to retrieve signed invoice copies.

Average Time Saved on the route and in the office per Route Day: 52 Minutes

o Weekly Labor Savings per Route: 5.17 Hours

o Monthly Labor Savings per Route: 22.40 Hours

o Yearly Labor Savings per Route: 269 Hours

Page 30: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Stockroom Alliant Stockroom is the key to integrating a textile rental company's front office with the

stockroom. Unlike other systems, activity keyed in the office automatically generates all of the

documents required to fill orders with no additional keystrokes - such as work orders, garment pick

lists, emblem pick lists and man readable tapes.

Billing for filled orders, such as replacements and size changes, is automated as orders are actually

filled - no more having to guess when to invoice a customer for a new order! In addition, Alliant

Stockroom can be configured to track individual garments with bar-code labels and/or RF chips to

provide a higher level of tracking for customers. John LaCarte, Model Uniform — Charleroi, PA

Features & Benefits Stockroom Integration

• Eliminate Double Work - Activity keyed in the office automatically generates all of the

documents required to fill orders - work orders, garment pick lists, emblem pick lists and

man readable tapes.

• Track Order Status - Ability to review orders by customer, reason, route, day, etc.

• Efficiently Handle Exception Garments - When a wearer quits or requires a size change,

the system automatically notifies the operator when the garment is scanned so the garment

can be pulled immediately, returned to the stockroom for future use.

• Single Scan Transactions - With a single scan, automate the process of billing for mends

and repairs. In addition, a single scan of a garment can generate a replacement order and

Page 31: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

automatically bill for preparation fees, emblems and other ancillary charges as soon as the

order is filled.

• Customer Service - Service personnel can access the system to tell customers how garments

as the number of washes and mends.

• Garments Scanned - Provide a list of all garments turned in by a customer by day.

• Garment Assignment - View stockroom activity by order type. For example, how many

times did we do a size change because we measured the customer wrong (our fault) versus a

typical size change? How much used stock am I utilizing?

• Unreturned Garments - Provides a list of garments that have not been scanned in a given

amount of time. Identify garments that need replacing for the customer.

• Use Plain Paper - All reports designed to print on 8 ½ X 11 plain, bond paper.

Page 32: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Stockroom o Work Orders

Work Orders represent the demand for order activity and are automatically

generated as the office enters daily maintenance. For example, when the office

enters in a request for a size change, a printed order is generated for stockroom

personnel with no additional keystrokes required!

In addition to the Work Order, the system automatically generates emblem pick lists and man

readable tapes – which can be printed with or without bar-codes.

Page 33: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems

Alliant Stockroom o Order Fulfillment Reports

Order status reports provide visibility on open orders and on orders that have been

filled. For example, managers can see what percentage of size change orders are

being filled with new or used goods.

Page 34: Corporate Capabilities Spring 2007 - Alliant Systems
